A trap for old naive tourists from the hotel above. We visited this place to wait out the bad weather on a walk. Finally totally disappointed. The greed of the owners is beyond anything I've seen before.
We ordered couple cups of tea and pizza. The waiter brought us a kettle for two with one (!!!) bag of the cheapest tea from the nearest supermarket. The pizza was a crust with sauce from a jar slathered on it in several places. The sauces were not presented, so we had to look for them ourselves on other tables.
We were most shocked when we were charged. Despite the fact that the owner saved money and threw in one tea bag for 5 cents cost. And despite that “tea” was more like hot water without colour or smell, we were charged 8 euros for each “tea”!
I feel nothing but disgust at the level of greed of these people. It's horrible to see that their attitude and even the quality of the food is clearly dependent on the number of guests and the expected tip. We looked like poor people, so we settled for drinking the peeing in a cup while they tried to impress a group of 20 elderly tourists.
We live in Port Pollença and now I have a new topic of conversation: I tell everyone I know to stay away from this scam.
If you are hungry, it is better to go to the Chinese restaurant 100m far, where the prices are three times lower and the pizza will be tastier. The tea will be a real Chinese tea. And even if you pay couple euros just for tea even then they do the best they can for you.
PS everybody who say its the best restaurant in Port Pollenca maybe is too old to walk at all and never had visited anything else. Because I can easily call 10 restaurants with a much better quality by much more affordable price than this one, even with no map: Celler La Parra Orale Himalaya Luna de Mel Sol y Mar Cultural Boutique Restaurant.
Total in short: if you are big group of elderly Britishes then you will like this place. If you live here in Port Pollenca then you will visit it once and then...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Osteria N 15, a charming restaurant located in the main square of Port de Pollença. I must say that my experience at this establishment was truly remarkable, and it has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the area.
The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the pork belly & jam. Even though I had tasted this dish five years ago, it was still as memorable as ever. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, succulent meat that practically melted in my mouth. The accompanying jam provided a delightful contrast of flavors, adding a subtle sweetness that complemented the rich and savory pork. It was a dish that showcased the chef's skill and creativity, and it's no wonder that it has left a lasting impression on me.
Another standout dish was the chicken with thyme and lemon. The chicken was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. The combination of thyme and lemon added a refreshing and aromatic touch that elevated the overall taste of the dish. It was a simple yet expertly executed preparation that showcased the quality of the ingredients and the chef's ability to create delicious and satisfying dishes.
The service at Osteria N 15 was top-notch. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
In conclusion, Osteria N 15 is a must-visit restaurant in Port...
Read moreI went to Osteria to meet my three brothers who arrived at the restaurant before me back in October 2022, one evening around 6.30-7pm. I ordered the fish and it was folded on the plate. I tasted a mouthful then unfolded the fish and seen it was raw inside. I handed it back and the waitress said the owner of the restaurant was the chef. I was furious I had eated uncooked fish and I explained that the chef should never send out uncooked food to a customer. The waitress gave me my drink free and we left the restaurant without any full meal eaten by me. My brother had sent back his uncooked chicken dish a half hour earlier which had I known when I ordered my food I would not have stayed there. We went to the pub around the corner and after about an hour there I was violently ill. I had gone to the bathroom and was vomiting everything up and then I became unconscious. Luckily my brother got me in an ambulance to the hospital and I don't remember anything until 7am the next morning. I can remember vomiting a number of times and having black diarrhoea throughout the night and for the next day. I had food poisoning. I couldn't fly because I was so poorly and had to purchase another flight. I wasn't able to eat for 4 days and lost 7 pounds in weight. It was an awful experience to my lovely holiday. Please do not go to this restaurant if you want to...
