Very tasty food and very friendly stuff! This place was one of the very few (we found only one more), which was still opened around 7 p.m. on Monday for take away. Me and my girlfriend are for the first time on Mallorca and due to the current Covid-restrictions of the Spanish goverment, we find it difficult to find a good quality restaurants, which are still opened after 5 p.m. We were one our way back from the Cap de Formentor, it was getting colder as the sun was getting down. We were hungry and eager to find any place, which offers food of more or less good quality for take away. The first town on our way was Port de Polenca and though according to Google, several places were marked as opened, they were not! We have been in the same town just 4 hours ago with several restaurants being opened, but no luck. At about 7 p.m. everything looked like closed. By luck, my girlfriend saw this place in the afternoon and decided to check in the evening whether they were opened or not. What a relief it was, that the place was opened, the host was very helpful to find our way through a long list of the typical indian food on the menu. We had a very simple mixed vegetables and plain rice and Indian bread and were positively surprised with the outstanding quality of how the vegetables were made. Real Indian cuisine. Unfortunately for us, we are staying about an hour drive from Port de Polenca, so we can't come here again very so often. But as soon as we will get to north-west of the island again, this restaurant is our first choice. PC: we didn't make any photos because the food was packed for take away. Instead i am posting the afternoon image from Port de Polenca, around 200 meters from...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. First off, the waiters were helpful, when they understood I didn't really know my way around the Indian cuisine, they helped with understanding and also recommendations. Secondly, the service was really good and efficient, different waiters for different parts of the meal. Good organization. The atmosphere at the centre square in Port de Pollença is really nice. This was June and still not super crowded. And lastly, they let us have the dog next to the table since we were on the terrace. All in all, a really good restaurant that I recommend to anyone who wants a taste of the Indian cuisine. I had the Lamb Naga...
Read moreReally good Indian food! Coming from England (where there are very high quality Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants), and having visited India a number of times, I have very high standards when it comes to Indian food. I’ve been disappointed with the quality of non-local cuisine on Mallorca before but Cardamom City has definitely raised the bar!
The spicy food has proper flavour to it rather than being obviously pepped up by bunging curry powder into it, and has a good amount of heat to it. And the owners and staff are all very welcoming and excellent hosts.
This is a very welcome addition to the already high standard of restaurants in Port...
