I tried this restaurant a couple of weeks ago with some friends of ours ☺️ we had previously book it and as we arrived the place was very busy 😕 we couldn't here ourselves speak 😔 I know this doesn't bother most people put we found it a bit to much that's our personal preference?? Presentation was a poor there where creased Table cloths on the table which isn't nice when you first approach a Table to sit at😕 we ordered our food and our friends decided to have The menu del dea which meant that we had to wait for them to eat the starter before we got ours. We asked them to serve our main meal at the same time as we had been waiting 40 minutes already and we where quite hungry seeing we had booked around 7 30 pm so really we should have got our food quicker than that!! Also on awaiting finally for our food I ordered the Tandoori off the bone with curry sauce and paella rice but I realised it wasn't Tandoori it was chicken Tikka which I didn't order? So I told the waiter and he just said sorry that was it 🤔know I will change it for you or anything like that so I didn't enjoy any of the meal as it put me right off 😞. There where also a TV screen with a Indian film on on mute which I don't understand the restaurant was full of white people 🥴 so unfortunately I will not be going back to this restaurant 😔 it could have been a lot better they let...
Read moreVisited for the second time last night. The food is very good and the service friendly and professional.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because if the early bird menu. I agree completely with the other poster. Curry Junction is in a very competive market. Most of its competitors include at least a glass of beer / wine with their fixed price menus. Many include a bottle of wine.
Given the wholesale cost of a bottle of wine, it would seem like a good idea to change the early menu. I would suggest removing the coffee / ice cream and adding a bottle of wine for two or a glass of wine / beer for single diners. They could even add €1 to the price to cover it.
If this change were made then I and my many curry loving local friends and guests would make it our regular curry 'house'
I noticed that drinks are included in the lunchtime menu, so it would just be a small change to include them in the evening. They are also included on the menus for two, four and six.
I prefer the flexibility of the early bird menu and if a bottle of wine were included it would be five star and perfect!
Please consider this feedback as many people expect to see drinks included in fixed menus.
Having seen the restaurant's response I will definitely be returning, bringing my friend...
Read moreWe discovered a new indian restaurant had opened at the bottom of Avenida del Mar at the junction with the lemon tree road. We were eager to give it a try so today we went there for lunch. A special lunch time menu is available for 11.95 euros per person including a starter, main course, desert and a drink. A different set choice is available each weekday. We both chose chicken chat to start which was different to the usual fare and was served in a small glass bowl and it was very tasty. We followed this with chicken tikka massala (my husband had his spiced up to madras strength) served with pilau rice and a peshawari nan as an extra. The tikka massala was one of the best we have had. This was followed by ice cream with cream and chocolate or strawberry sauce. The meal was nicely finished off with a limoncelo and a baileys on the house! The service was efficient and friendly. Unfortunately there were only four of us in the restaurant so the atmosphere was a little subdued but I am sure it is much livelier in the evening. Our total bill including additional drinks came to 31.90 which is excellent value for such a tasty lunch. A visit is definitely...
