This was my third visit to this place, previously I have called in one Sunday lunch and had a pizza, my wife had a salad type dish, all quite acceptable. Last week I called in for a takeaway pizza and it was alright. Tonight, I thought “I’d order extra to support the business” - what a mistake. I ordered a pizza which had lots of rocket on, then I ordered an Italian meat platter, plus spaghetti carbonara for lunch tomorrow plus a portion of chips (which turned out to be like fast food fries) which I half expected. We were waiting at the bar next door having a drink and after about 7-8 minutes, the waitress said that all was ready, which was pretty quick all things considered. The bill was 36 euros. Well, words fail me, I only live two minutes away and by the time I got home, the pizza was stone cold and in fairness, I had only had it 10 minutes. The meats were tasty, the chips were 1 out of 10 and the Carbonara, which I was saving for tomorrow, was bland and tasteless. So much for supporting local businesses. The standard was 3 out of 10. We will not be returning or recommending, this...
Read moreWhenever we visit Ciudad Quesada we always go to Pizza 222 and have always had a delicious meal and the staff are great. We did a 3 day visit this time and on our first day our hire car was broken into and our wallet was stolen. We had no money or no cards (but were hopeful that we could get some from the Spanish bank the following day) and no food other than porridge. At 9.00pm we went in to 222 and explained our situation. The owner was so kind, he allowed us to come in and have dinner and told us we could pay him when everything was sorted. It was such a kind gesture it made the stresses of the day dissipate. We were so touched and grateful by this act of kindness. The pizzas we chose were as usual delicious. Thank you...
Read moreWe expected it to be amazing place according to reviews, however we left dissapointed. The only good thing is waitresses - they are very friendly. Atmosphere reminds canteen, our clothes got full of fried oil smell. If you have been in Italy and tried pizza, you will know for sure that this pizza is far from really good pizza. We also had a started of italian meats - I would suggest to work on the presentation, as the price was 12 Eur for like 8 pieces of thin slices of meat placed on a simple white plate, like it was a snack at home by the TV. Unfortunately did not think to take a picture of it. It was delicious though, but not better than any good meat from the spanish local shop. Overall, we would say this place...
