Our last morning in Ronda and wanted to have authentic Churro’s. We were not being sucked into the TT (tourist trap) in the Main Street. This place was out of the way at the top of the hill and a real local hang out. We were greeted by Daniel the owner and shown a table on the street. Unfortunately we are not fluent in Spanish but luckily he was very sympathetic and spoke to us in English and suggested large churros and hot chocolate with our 2 Latte. Wow Churros were so so fresh and nothing like I have ever tasted and the chocolate sauce took them to another level. Coffee was great but not the hero of the day. Read moreTypical churros café, where all the locals go. We were there for about 30 minutes and saw about 20 people walk in and out, all greet the staff by name. That’s how you know you have found the best churros place in town. You get a ración de churros and a coffee for a great price. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and absolutely delicious. The churros were freshly made to order and the service was very fast. Not the healthiest of breakfasts but definitely necessary when in Ronda. We ate this before hiking down to the bottom of the valley to see the bridge and we were not even hungry for lunch. I would highly recommend this place. They take cash and credit card. We loved these churros so much. The chocolate (must ask for it separately) went together with the churros very well. It had a very nice thickness to it, so that when the excess chocolate drips off, what sticks around is the perfect amount of it.
Also, you'll probably want to skip lunch as you'll be feeling full for the better half...
