Just a lovely restaurant, right on the promenade overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean. Meal prices range from low teens to high twenties, and every meal is delicious. I often get the large lamb shank (it's hard to get lamb at a reasonable price in the states), but everything here is good. Seafood, steak, poultry, tapas, you name it. They also have a nice, but small, draft beer selection, which is nice since most restaurants in southern Spain have Cruz Campo, and only Cruz Campo, on tap (con o sin alcohol). Also full bar, plus a lovely sherry selection. Even though I only get to come back every few years, owner recognizes me and brings out a sherry selection for me to choose from. Really fantastic place for location, views,...
Read moreSad to say I was not impressed with any of the food. I ordered the Wellington and the beef tenderloin. The puff pastry (I believe that’s what it was) on the Wellington was very undercooked and the meat inside seemed dry and over cooked. The beef tenderloin could barely be cut through with the knife. Seemed as if it was a bad cut. I’ve definitely had better at places such as Las Tinajas and even the Steakhouse. The best part of the meal was the fries and drinks. Granted, it was pretty busy when we visited so maybe the food was rushed. Clean establishment and friendly staff but does not make up for the food quality and preparation. I wouldn’t...
Read moreTried this restaurant with high hopes based off of other reviews. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. Ordered tuna with tomato as an appetizer and it came out well done in some type of tomato paste over french fries. I thought, alright, maybe just a bad plate by the cook. Wrong! Tuna a la plancha came out well done. To top it off, the vegetables were cold tomatoes and onions. €30 later, waste of food and money. Was not impressed. I equate this to airplane food! Heed my advise, try another place but this one. You will come out liking your meal elsewhere...
