Murphy's Bar & Bistro — Restaurant in Salou

DO NOT VISIT THIS BAR!! My girlfriend was vulgarly harassed by the OWNER of the premisis when we came here on our holiday to Salou. She was told to 'put some clothes on' by a man pictured in the image of the pub's management. The barman pathetically laughed at her shocked face and told us 'not to mind him' after which this creep said it again. We had only just entered the pub on our night out and left again immediately. Such a rotten excuse for a man and his tacky pub with it's hostile atmosphere won't last long at all harassing it's customers, especially young people clearly trying to enjoy their holiday and get a taste of home! Avoid this pub at all costs and if anyone from the management team sees this review I would like to demand a response...

Just came back from a 2 week holiday in Salou. We happened across Murphy's by accident, or was it fate. Either way, it made our holiday that bit more special. Benny McGrath the owner of the bar is the most welcoming man. He and his staff, Tony especially, made us feel so comfortable in their company. My wife, our 14 year old son Cian, his mate Ben and myself spent most of our evenings at Murphy's and where very happy to do so. Excellent company, excellent food, excellent choice of beers,wine and spirits. If you go to Salou, it's a must. Trust me, you won't regret it. A massive thank you to everyone at Murphy's. Badly ran Irish bar by 2 older men. Faces tripping them which was off putting, especially one of the men who literally laughed in my face when I asked him nicely if he was putting the volume on the tv for the sports commentary (Im a young 23 year old girl) as a paying customer this is unacceptable especially as we chose to drink and spend our money in this bar for 2/3 nights prior in the week. Wont be returning next time we’re in salou and we will be going the other friendly Irish bars instead. A shame because we love supporting Irish bars but not when the owners are laughing in loyal...
