Restaurant Goretti Salou — Restaurant in Salou

Me and my partner took a wander down the beach front and fancied a bite to eat. From the outside, Goretti caught our eye, and the menu outside looked inviting. We were warmly welcomed by a lovely Spanish gentleman, called Bellaco, who spoke brilliant English and kindly showed us to our seat in the outdoor area. The menu was very diverse and reasonably priced, especially for the quality of food and service. Both inside and outside were very classy and stylish, complimentary bread sticks on the table as well. Bellaco took our drinks order, in which we chose sangria (lovely and refreshing) which arrived very quickly. I ordered the salmon and my partner ordered the beef. Both arrived fairly quickly and were absolutely stunning! We finished our meal off with a coffee each which was of great quality. Free WiFi is always a bonus too! Highly recommended. Me and my boyfriend were struggling to find a decent restaurant, since there’s not many good options in our opinion in Salou. We ordered patatas bravas for starters and they were very nice. The garlic bread portion was enjoyable and a nice portion considering it was only €4. The Bufala pizza was good, but the crust was a little thin & too much rocket 😅. The lasagne came 10 minutes after the pizza, my boyfriend was halfway finished his food by the time I received mine. When it came out it was scorching and still bubbling so I had to wait another 10 minutes for it to cool down, and even at that it was very hot. It was very tasty though and the ragu was cooked perfectly. Bonus points for serving 350ml glass Coca Cola, as recently everywhere only serves the 250ml. My experience here was unsatisfactory to say the least. There were many issues with the service. To start our food was an hour late to arrive. No one came to us, to reassure when are food would arrive and there were no apologies from the waiter when it did.

Secondly, when it did arrive, my lasagne was ice cold and I sent it back. Then ten mins later, the waiter asked if we wanted desert, still I hadn't got my lasagne. When it finally arrived it was still luke-warm but I ate it anyway. Then 25 mins after I sent my lasagne back, the same half eaten lasagne came back to us.

I understood they were very busy, but the food was bad and there was TERRIBLE communication between the waiters. No one seemed to be in charge and many people if not everyone had something wrong with there food beside us. Very...
