The place looks cute but sadly the food wasn't on a par with anything served in Thailand or at a decent UK Thai restaurant. We ordered the vegan tofu satay to share which was okay (although the crispy tofu wasn't freshly cooked but had been reheated). Our two mains were two tofu massaman curries made vegan-friendly (state no fish sauce!). Mine was very small and we were both missing the green beans, bamboo and courgette mentioned on the menu. We mentioned this to our server who explained the menu was wrong and she'd let the manager know to update it as their massaman is just potato and onion...so we said yes that's good for the future but what about our small and almost vegetable-free curry? So about 5 minutes later she brought out some green beans and courgettes but by this point I'd finished my meal and my husband had eaten most of his. I appreciate they tried to make good but even with the vegetables the portion was small for €13 each. I'm also afraid to say the curry sauce was bland with no herb, spice or sour lime flavour. It was basically coconut milk with a pinch of paprika. Having been to South East Asia on many occasions and visited great Thai restaurants in the UK (and most recently just last week in Tenerife) this wasn't up to the usual standard. One word on the cocktails - they are expensive: €7.50 and up. Mine was very, very strong, so that's good if you like the taste of booze rather than the mix of flavours, but personally I'd have preferred a cheaper cocktail with less booze to enjoy with a meal. I wouldn't return but perhaps those with less experience of Thai food and small appetites may find the food okay.

Edit: after the third visit down to 4 stars. And that's only turning a blind eye and considering the good service at the first time. At weekends the place is full (to be expected) and the service drops significantly. It's just not the same experience like during the week. Visited twice and really liked the place both times. Food was yummy and portions big enough. Service was friendly and at least on our first visit - at a weekday - very good. We enjoyed being here. The illumination of the whole place is, whether it's ones taste or not, quite spectacular. We loved it though. Another plus in our opinion, is that due to the concept of the place, you do have your privacy. It's not table on table, but all of them are separated, which is nice. The prices are quite fair in our opinion. Still, it's worth to mention that it can quickly sum up, if you spend a nice evening here with additional desserts and a cocktail or two. Even if not, you have to consider that you will hardly leave without spending around €45.- for two persons (meals plus 2 drinks each). But that's ofc up to you. We did like this place and in our opinion, if you like Thai food and you're nearby San Augustin, you should give this place a shot. But do yourself the favor to come during the week and not at weekends.

Good evening! Today, in Christmas eve 24.12.2023, we have a table for 4 persons. In my dish with lemongrass chicken with added rize portion I found a little metal detail!!!! After that our waitress said that we don't need to pay for that dish, because it is very terrible and all staff don't know how it goes in my plate. After that we wait a lot of time to receive a correct receipt 🧾 In the entrance the man cashier ask, that we received a 10% discount for our bill. But we paid separately, and we pay 2 parts our bill without that 10% discount. When I ask about these situation, the cashier was very angry and don't want to get a discount for our all bill, and I put in my hands the paper and pen , and write on paper all sums for him. In total we need to pay 41,08 Euros, but he wants 50,25 Euro. I really want that the director of that restaurant will be careful with stuff, and I have a negative feeling after that supper!! It's a terrible ti get this in vacation and my Christmas eve was so bad in that restaurant. P.S. The chicken with lemongrass was tasty, but no delicious food

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sa.wad.dee Thai Restaurant in Maspalomas, and I must say, it was an absolute treat for all the senses. This hidden gem exceeded my expectations in every aspect, ensuring a memorable evening.

Let's talk about the most important part - the food. Sa.wad.dee Thai Restaurant offers a culinary journey that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. Every dish I ordered was bursting with authentic flavours and fresh ingredients. From the aromatic Tom Yum soup to the mouthwatering Pad Thai, each bite was a delightful explosion of Thai goodness. The presentation of the dishes was equally impressive, as they were beautifully garnished, reflecting the attention to detail that went into their preparation. Trust me; you won't leave disappointed!

Another highlight of dining at Sa.wad.dee is the affordability of their drink selection. They offer a wide array of beverages, including refreshing cocktails and traditional Thai drinks, all at reasonable prices. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy my meal with a perfectly paired drink while not having to worry about my wallet.

The ambience of the restaurant was also worth mentioning. The lively background music created an upbeat atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience. I found myself swaying to the melodies as I savoured my meal. It's evident that the owner knew how to create an enjoyable and entertaining environment for their guests.

Lastly, I must commend the staff at Sa.wad.dee Thai Restaurant for their exceptional service. The waitstaff were not only friendly but also attentive, making sure that every need was met. They went above and beyond to provide recommendations and accommodate dietary preferences, a testament to their professionalism and genuine hospitality.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Sa.wad.dee Thai Restaurant to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience in Maspalomas. The excellent food, affordable drinks, entertaining music, and friendly staff all combined to create a remarkable evening. So, step into Sa.wad.dee, indulge in theflavourss of Thailand, and let your senses take you on a delightful journey. You won't be disappointed!

Few weeks ago, we booked a table there for a surprise's Birthday for our soldier friend who came back after working abroad for a while. We thought everything was okay because we booked enough days before the date to sort it out. We received the confirmation email and everything was alright. That night, we arrived there and the waiter said there wasn't any booking for us. Nobody called us, nobody sent us an e-mail, absolutely nothing. Once we claimed the waiter started to tell excuses and lies to justify that big mistake. He was changing what happened all the time one of us asked to him. He even showed us the mail box and we saw how others reservations taken after our reservation for that date were confirmed. I might understand that everybody can fail, but he didn't try to sort it out, he didn't offer as a solution to the problem they made of course. He just said sorry and invited us to go because the place was full. Obviously they ruined our surprise because after trying to solve this for over an hour, our friend was coming and catched us there. Honestly we couldn't even try the food but the experience was awful. This waiter ruined our night and didn't even tried to sort out the situation or offer an solution. He just told lies all the time. What a mess. After this awful experience, we were there out in the street and nowhere to go at that time. Walking next to beach, we found out a restaurant called "El capitán" and thankfully they sorted out our night, with a great food, a great service, funny jokes and a surprise from waiters and waitress to the Birthday's man. It's pretty clear here who are the professional ones, who took new clients who will come back and who lost new...
