This was the best meal my husband and I had in the Canary Islands. We stopped by for lunch and were immediately charmed by the interesting design of the restaurant. Our server was engaging and informative and guided us to his favorite dishes, which were all incredible. We had the Pani Puri, an Indian appetizer with a crisp outer shell and mashed potato inside, to start, which were an amalgam of fresh and bright flavors, and crispy and soft textures. We then shared the jiaozi, ham and cabbage dumplings? which were spicy and so incredibly tasty, that we wished we had 10 more to wolf down. We then had the Rendang curry which was the BEST curry I have ever had the luck to try. It was complex, and perfectly spiced, and the meat was soo tender. We then shared the chocolate desert which was a layer of two custards, nuts, and a spiced caked and every bite was scrumptious. If this restaurant was in New York City, it would be packed to the gills. Make sure to make this a stop in La Laguna for a special and...
Read moreI was in Tenerife for a week for a two-day Touch Rugby tournament and stumbled upon this gem on the very first day. I ended up dining here four times in that week! The tasting menu is an absolute must-try; every dish is carefully crafted and beautifully presented.
One of my personal highlights was the chocolate mousse, simply divine! I even got a promise from the chef to make it for me again if I come back next year, even if it's no longer on the menu. I’m also a big fan of char siu and often order it back home in the Netherlands. But after tasting the char siu here, I’m never ordering it back home again. It just doesn’t compare to the quality and flavor of this one!
And while I’ve never been a fan of oysters, these were truly exceptional. I ended up having four! They melt in your mouth, and the pairing with the vinegar is just perfection.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for an unforgettable culinary experience...
Read moreJonay and Leidi have created a unique experiece in La Laguna. Their knowledge travels and experience of Asian flavours are joined together to produce beautifully balanced delicate and memorable flavours. We visited on the opening weekend and had such a fantastic warm welcome from the whole team we returned for a second visit which was equally as fabulous giving us an opportunity to try some different dishes. The aromas coming from the open kitchen are just gorgeous and make your mouth water as you watch them meticulously prepare the wonderful dishes . La Laguna is extremely fortunate to have Malaka as a new and exciting experience within the old town, the atmosphere is friendly, inviting, passionate and not to be missed. Our visits certainly elevated our stay . Thank you all so much we wish you...
