Very nice everything. Fabulous eating by the sea.
But...access is difficult. Plenty of parking, but there is a horrible slope down which you have to walk from the car park to the restaurant. Or a horrible flight of stairs.
If this lovely restaurant was mine I would invest in 3 lengths of rope, and fit them with poles left, right and centre on the slope. For little cost it would greatly improve accessibility. I would change the surface on the slope...bet it gets slippy in wet weather..
U A lovely Rumanian lady helped me down and back up, but, much as I would like to go back to this great place, I don't feel safe having to rely on someone to get there and back. But as I said,...
Read moreVisited this place in 2022 several times and the food was absolutely amazing. However, visited again July 2023 and oh how its declined! The previous chef has left and the food is now really bad! I had tempura prawns and asparagus, but it wasnt tempura batter, but more akin to a greasy chip shop. I complained but was met with a "so what" attitude. My colleague ordered the burger for a main course and the quality of the burger was like pork luncheon meat. They offered us a free drink but didnt remove the cost of those two dished even though they were not eaten. Such a shame to see what was an amazing place go downhill so fast. Ill certainly never...
Read moreWhen you ask if the Caesar salad is the real deal, has no surprises, and the waitress tells you it has bacon, and you say ok, but it comes with boiled eggs, tomatoes, no croutons and some hard-cheese alternative to parmesan, and you have to dress it yourself, it is difficult to not feel a little ´meh`.
The Dorado and Tuna were fabulous, as were the accompanying vegetables to the latter. Desserts were also great - but clearly not memorable, because I can't remember them Ha!
We just still can't give this place 5* (be it Mar Sana or Milla de Plata) because the terrace is the only place to sit in fine weather and smoking is permitted, because a good Caesar salad says so much and, because it can be a little difficult to catch a waiters eye But they do redeem themselves somewhat, because they have something other than Schweppes tonic to go with gin, but no cucumber to serve with Tanqueray. It isn't what it was, tonic connoisseurs don't want schweppes any more.
