Never had such a terrible experience in a restaurant before. Ordered their daily menu which is cheap for San Sebastián, 13 euros. The first dish was OK, also the fish my partner was having, but the meat they brought as a second dish was overcooked/burnt from one side (which can happen to anyone). Now when I shared with waitress to let the kitchen know, she said the kitchen couldn't do anything about it. She didn't even take the plate to show it to the cook (?) Also, the side which was burnt was not visible, so you had to turn the meat around to see all the ash/burnt meat. After a few back and forths, the cook came out and screamed at us: "what do you expect for this price?", didn't apologize and invited us to leave the restaurant. Speechless (?) I never had this overt rudeness and lack of hospitality experience in my life. There's always room for improvement and never experienced this lack.of professionalism, let alone in a place like San Sebastián which is supposed to be famous for the quality of its food. Not al Platero, I can tell you that. A lunch to forget.

This is a local bar with a small seating area for dinners. It was recommended by our hotel. You do have to book if you want a table and the day before is sufficient. The interior is dated and mainly wood and looking tired. Our table was a bit wobbly and when we got there at 7.30 the restaurant was empty. By 8 pm, it was suddenly packed out. It was mainly full of older gentlemen who seemed to know each other and the staff. It all added to the atmosphere, and we did not feel out of place. You felt as though you were at some family gathering. There were 4 of us and we ordered two salads and 4 main course meals which we decided to share. The foid was presented with flair, and the portions were generous. As with most of our experiences in San Sebastian, you should never judge a book by its cover. Everything was tasty and fresh. The quality of the dishes would not be out of place in a fine dining restaurant in London, but the price was exceptionally good value. It averaged at €17 each. It was a great place to visit for a no fuss relaxed evening meal.

Obviamente no éramos bien recibidos y no querían atendernos.
