The food was decent, with a large mixed grill, but the lamb chops were disappointing. However, the behavior of the waiter, who wore glasses, was extremely rude. There was no sense of service; he didn’t greet us or answer our questions adequately, displaying a poor attitude throughout. When we were ordering, he responded with a passive-aggressive "hm" indicating "what else." I inquired about substituting the beef, and he simply nodded once, looking at us as if we were foolish for asking, despite his earlier vague statement about the possibility.
He rolled his eyes while taking our order, and I assure you we were neither awkward nor rude—he just seemed disinterested and entitled. When he took our order, he said, "that's it," to which I replied, "do you not want us to eat here?" He responded with, "well, it’s a little bit of food for six people," which, by the way, it wasn’t, and there were no minimum order requirements stated. He then implied that ordering more food would take an additional 20-25 minutes to change his justification. Either way, none of this would encourage us to order more rather the opposite.
We later decided to try some additional naan and chips to see if the wait really was as indicated, didn’t take long at all. The mixed grill along with the naans and chips were more than enough for us, and even if timing had been an issue (which it wasn’t, as the restaurant was not busy), the service was far below the standards of the Lahore restaurant next door.
There was a small event in the adjoining hall although no food was being served there at the time. There wasn’t much interest in serving us despite there being enough staff to cater and not many other customers. Only a few tables were taken outside. There was a noticeable lack of respect for women. Interestingly, he eventually sent a woman to finish the service while he did nothing. We had ordered some items separately as well. When we asked for the bill, another waiter ignored us at first, and when I finally received attention, it was met with a dismissive "what?"—quite laughable, really.
It’s clear that poor service can only take a place so far. The owner should consider upskilling the staff. I’d be happy to teach them a bit about manners. It’s a shame because the food was the only redeeming factor, but one can’t help but wonder about the preparation standards if the front of house is...
Read moreI have been three days without eating rice while I am attending a conference here in Barcelona. As an Indonesian, if you do not eat rice, we consider it not yet eating, even if you have eaten a lot of pasta, burgers, bread, and everything else. So I decided to look at Google and try to find a restaurant around my hotel. Luckily, I found this restaurant, where the food is excellent (I ate biryani rice, by the way). The service is also excellent, and the place is very clean. Not to mention the view, I can simply see the sea and the harbor nearby, which adds to the experience. Lastly, the mint tea is also very good. I highly recommend this...
Read moreFor a place that kind of has you in a trap as you leave Go Beach this place was a nice surprise.
I hadn’t checked reviews before we (a large group of pretty rowdy stag do-ers) descended on this place so I wasn’t expecting much, considering the location.
Staff were excellent. They patient, polite and attentive at all times.
Food was excellent and plentiful. We had mixed grills for the table with dips and snacks. All very tasty and needed.
Drinks were and reasonably priced.
Location was nice and...
