Lahore Restaurant - Authentic Halal Pakistani Food in Barcelona — Restaurant in Sant Adrià de Besòs

As there was Dansak on the menu - a dish that I have eaten in many countries - I asked if it was possible to have prawns, rather than the chicken. The waiter informed me he would ask the Chef. At the same time we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, rice and Garlic Nan Bread.

Some 20 minutes later the Chicken Tikka Masala arrived. It looked nothing like the photograph in the menu - which looked authentic. The chicken consisted of small cubes, which looked like processed meat and the sauce was light pink, rather red / brown and was lacking in taste. Additionally, the so-called Garlic Nan Bread was actually pizza base. As this food was delivered to the table, the waiter informed me that Prawn Dansak was not available, and I would need to order another dish. This is clearly not good service - I should have been informed of the non-availability of the dish, prior to my companion being served.

So, I ordered a 'Chef's Special' Prawn Karahi. Once again when the dish arrived, it looked nothing like the photograph in the menu. Rather than large prawns, it consisted of very small prawns and tasted very bland.

This place is an absolute disaster. I’ve never experienced such horrible service in my life and would never, under any circumstances, recommend it. From the moment we walked in, the waitstaff were incredibly rude. One waiter had the audacity to snatch the menu out of our hands without even asking if we were done. They offered no assistance with the menu and made us feel completely unwelcome.

The second waiter, who brought us the bill, took rudeness to a whole new level. They charged us for food we had returned, and when I questioned it, he rudely insisted that since some of the food was touched, we had to pay the full amount.

The food itself was abysmal. I’ve been in Barcelona for five days and this is by far the worst food I’ve encountered, whether from a takeaway or a mainstream restaurant. The Nihari was so poorly cooked that we had to send it back, and the mutton Karahi was foul-smelling and undercooked. We left it untouched.

Overall, the food and service here are atrocious. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place...

I wish there was an option for zero star. If you have a bit of self respect stay far away from this nasty place. The staff was very rude and made us feel unwelcome throughout the entire time one of the staff members had the nerve to just throw the menus on the table away from us and the way he placed the food on the table was disgusting to say the least. When I spoke to the manager about it instead of apologising he started putting the blame on me on how my seating position wasn’t good enough for him to put the plates properly when this was not the case. Regardless if you’re with family or a couple do not go near this place and the food is not fresh it tastes like frozen meals.
