LA SENCILLITA — Restaurant in Sant Joan de Labritja

Made very unwelcome on arrival. We ate here in Sept 2023 which was anItalian menu based. We enjoyed the food and the service. The view over the bay is fantastic. On arrival We were met by a young waiter who sat us down next to the pool. There wasn’t a drinks menu so trying to ask what type of rose wine there was proved difficult as he didn’t speak any English. No problem great chance to use my Spanish as we are in Ibiza. Successfully ordered the drinks no problem. Ordered the food, no info on the menu for what was served with the mains. Used my excellent Spanish to find out it was chips that’s all. The Guy clearly had a chip on his shoulder no greeting or smiles what so ever. Ordered another drink he brought the rose bottle out tipped what was left into a glass not even a measure and walked off. Maybe the Guy is part of the anti tourist movement on these islands? BEWARE: Do not go here, horrible food and drinks. When we went to pay and wanted to pay via the Fork App as I had booked through it they started to shout at us and kept saying we have to pay with them even though o had booked via the app. They gathered around us telling they willl call the police and we tried to explain we don’t want to be charged twice and I wanted to book via the app which they have a deal with. Finally they said ok to pay by the app and then they got the payment right away but they treated us like criminal. It was unbelievable as the food and drink was already pretty bad but we didn’t even compliant and were just paying the bill. They don’t seem to know their own tie...

We had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant in Portinatx. From the start, the service was poor. we were left waiting and essentially ignored, even though the place wasn’t that busy. When our food finally came, the salad we ordered was missing several of the listed ingredients, and when we asked about it, nothing was done to fix it. On top of that, the beer we ordered never arrived, even after reminding the staff. Overall, the service felt careless, and the food didn’t live up to expectations.
