Le Carac - Brunch, Coffee & Cake — Restaurant in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar

I spent a brilliant morning at Le Carac Brunch, Coffee & Cake in Cala Millor and it totally delivered. The shop is run by a very welcoming Swiss guy, and you can tell he takes real care with every detail. On my visit, which happened to be the very last day of the summer season I enjoyed two back-to-back espressos (ristretto style) which were lovely and sharp, full of character.

I also indulged in a beautiful granola bowl with forest fruits, while friends went for healthy smoothies. The cake selection was small because it was the final day, but I managed to pick up four pieces, each discounted at €3.00.

The space is great: a spacious terrace to sit outside and enjoy the sun, plus a huge interior that makes it comfortable. For residents of Cala Millor or visitors in Mallorca, this place is a summer gem for delicious coffee, brunch or cake. I will definitely be back when the next...

Le Carac offers a cool ambience, good service and an alternative for healthy breakfast, brunch or lunch. The menu showcases a variety for all diets and allergies, boosted with nutrition smoothies and delicious coffees. As a vegan there was only one dish option and in my opinion it's expensive. The vegan dish is served with a whole avocado, cherry tomatoes, rucola, strawberries, hummus and a piece of rye bread. The price is 13.90 euros. Vegan food can be nutritional without spending a fortune. I decided to write this kind of review to raise awareness that even vegans should have more fair choices. At the end I chose to be vegan because simply I don't accept the brutal suffering that animals have to go through. This is my choice and honestly I respect everyone's decision. We came here for breakfast around 9:15. I had the salmon pancakes (€15.50) and my boyfriend had the cheddar & ham pancakes (€14.50). We also tried a protein bowl (€7.90) and an iced coffee (€5). The food was tasty and filling, but the prices feel a bit high for the portion sizes.

The salmon pancakes were delicious. The restaurant is right by the road, so traffic noise is noticeable. Service could be more attentive (at first no one noticed we wanted to order), but the staff was friendly and helpful overall.

We asked to replace bananas with apples in the protein bowl, but got neither – maybe just extra strawberries. Not a big issue, but worth mentioning.

I also liked that they have small board games on the tables, which makes the visit more fun and cozy.
