Being generous with 2 stars because we did all enjoy the parasailing but...
The banana boat was awful. They don't tell you but you need to be able to pull yourself up the side of the banana boat which sits about 1m above the waterline. You need to have upper body strength or strong pals in your group to help pull you up.
The guy driving the boat pulling the banana was nothing short of sadistic and the other crew were snidey and unpleasant. They drive way too fast and it feels like fighting for survival rather than having a fun, bouncy ride. When I did fall off I bounced like a skimming stone and injured my knee.
The jetski's were ok. Again the teenagers and their girlfriends who were driving the boat to the jetski were unpleasant and made us feel very awkward. Again, getting onto the boat wasn't straight forward, there was a rope ladder but again it needed a fair amount of upper body strength.
The parasailing was fab and the guys running it were good fun. This was the only redeeming factor to what had been a...
Read moreWe did the parasailing and, although I was expecting a bit more adrenaline, it was enjoyable and the views were great. Hence the 2 stars. Why not more? 2 reasons: hospitality, and price. The price (130€ for 2 persons parasailing) seems exaggerated for a 10-15 min ride. But most importantly, the hospitality was awful. The people at the counter were in a "just doing my job" mood, we didn't feel welcome. They gave us life jackets, and just told us "swim over there, to the buoys, and wait for the boat". We went there, and there we were, drifting on the sea, waiting for the boat to arrive. When it arrived (they were finishing other people parasailing), they picked us up, and had exactly the same mood as the people in the counter, with zero interest of having any kind of conversation. After the activity, they left on the same spot they picked us, and back swimming we went. It was truly a horrible display of hospitality...
Read moreCaution-I took my daughters on the banana boats- we were last on and only the front seats were free. Once the boat was moving I realised it was probably not the best idea having children at the front as you definitely bear the brunt of the water spray, and we had great difficulty staying on. My youngest daughter fell off. The boat turned back to pick her up but due to the current and waves she ended up disappearing under the banana boat itself. I and another passenger had to jump in to help her get out from underneath, as the operators watched from the main boat. It was only a few seconds and luckily she wasn’t physically hurt but could have been disastrous. She was extremely upset afterwards as she panicked under the water as she couldn’t get out. Shame as it had been fun until that incident but it did cast a shadow on...
