Set back slightly from the main road near to the beach, this restaurant offers great food. We didn't book and only went there because the restaurant we wanted to go to was full. I'm glad it was. This was a great place. The menu was varied and the food delicious. There were 3 of us for lunch. We had the garbanzos and snails to start. The snails came in a stew which was very tasty albeit the snails were small. The garbanzos was very typical of Canarian style however much tastier than the norm. We ate calamari and goat stew, both delicious. With a portion of papas Arrugadas, small, black potatoes, not the salty variety, with red mojo sauce on them. We sat outside and had beer with our meal. Followed by a barraquito and a couple of delicious desserts, brownies and raspberry ice cream and a cheese cake. The establishment is clean and compact. There are a few in door tables and some outside. Effort has been made with the decor and tables and chairs. I would give 5 stars however the portions were a bit on the small side. We really enjoyed our afternoon here and would definitely come again. I would like to try other items on the menu. Well worth a visit even from the South of the Island if that's where you are staying. The blonde sand beach (las teresitas) is just across the road. There was plenty of parking nearby and the main bus that runs along the highway...

I want to save some people the trouble of finding out by themselves how such a highly rated place left me feeling i was scammed..even though i was not.. the only and very bad thing about it was the sizes of the dishes..tiny so tiny.. main course of pork was 6 thin slices not more than 150 gr of it, nothing on the side, 10 potatoes in a bowl thats another dish, snails and clams fair enough could be small, 3 tentacles of octopus is 16 euro.. calamari was very good and so the fish churros..again the food was good, but I'm sorry we left hungry from there after a 93 euro bill so dissapointed as the reviews usually are on par with most places we go to, not with this one.. i feel sorry to leave a negative review to anyone but this is not ok.. i felt dissapointed and left with an empty stomach and a big bil ..got some bread from the Spar nearby as my kids were still hungry.. the take is like fine dining but go there only after you eat something before and if you have kids with you ..just...

Easily one of the best place I‘ve eaten in Tenerife. It‘s a bit hard to decide what you want as the menu is written on a piece of paper with no pictures so I suggest browsing through the pics on Google reviews first for reference. We ordered 5 menus (chickpeas with meat, snails, baked veal with serrano sauce, grilled mini squid and fish churros) and each one only came out after the previous one was finished so in total it was quite a long meal. But every dish tasted amazing, they have super rich taste and depth and fragrance like nothing I‘ve eaten on the island. The star of the meal for me was the baked veal. Definitely order that if you like meaty, fatty dishes. I also really liked the snails - I usually find them boring, but here it tasted very unique. If you go to Playa de Las Teresitas, make sure to come by and eat here. 100% worth it. Small warning tho: they‘re a bit pricey, I feel like it‘s actually $$...

Tasca El Asunto is a true hidden gem for food lovers looking to explore rich, authentic flavors in a cozy setting. The menu offers a wonderful variety of dishes, combining traditional ingredients with creative twists that truly delight the palate. One of the highlights is their selection of cheeses – each one thoughtfully paired with sauces, roasted peppers, or other accompaniments that elevate the flavor and turn every bite into a little delicacy. Every plate feels carefully crafted, and the variety of textures and tastes makes for a truly memorable meal. If you’re in the area and want to enjoy refined, flavorful food with a touch of local charm, Tasca El Asunto is definitely worth a visit.
