My brother and I have just returned from a fantastic first trip to Ibiza. We ate 5 times at this restaurant (it would have been 6 times if it didn't close on Mondays). You can always tell the quality of a restaurant from how busy it is - if there are few guests there is usually a reason for this. El Corsario Negro however is more or less full every evening, and there are good reasons for this. It is located right at the pleasure marina at Santa Eulària des Riu overlooking the (very expensive!) boats. There is no car access to this part of the marina, so you would need to park elsewhere and walk. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quiet with soft music in the background. The service in the restaurant is fantastic. The team is led by Asun, and her team (Liv, Paula and a chap we didn't get to speak to) are very friendly and attentive. We did not need to wait very long for our meals, and the team will allow you to spend as much time as you need without giving you the feeling that you are being rushed. The food is excellent and beautifully presented. We went for the seafood every night - can particularly recommend the squid, octopus, swordfish and tuna. The price is very reasonable for what you get - and certainly cheaper than the restaurant next door where they charge extra for any vegetables with your meal! If you are looking for a chilled place to eat with great food, you cannot go wrong by choosing El Corsario Negro. (Asun, Liv, Paula - if you are reading this, we are the twins from the UK. Well done, you deserve this...

Very disappointed having visited 2 years ago and recommended this place to my friends. Very over priced and dreadful quality of food.
I've never complained about a meal before but the "broken eggs" starter was essentially just fried eggs on top of some cheap crisps with a lump of "Fois gras" which I'm certain was just paté, with no truffle in sight. We ate this begrudgingly giving it the benefit of the doubt as were looking forward to the main course but sent that back after 1 mouthful, after realising they served us stewing steak instead of filet steak in the "Pico Pato" dish and even had the audacity to tell us it was a top quality steak, insulting our intelligence as well as our taste buds.
Not only that the "Tuna steak" was obviously from the freezer and if that wasn't bad enough, to add insult to injury wasn't even cooked all the way through (as in frozen in the middle, not seared on the outside pink in the middle as it should have been)
A real shame as the restaurant in is a perfect location and used to be...
