What a fabulous find! We found this gorgeous restaurant by chance. Initially stopped just for coffees prior to a 2.5 mile walk around the hilltop but the menu looked so good that we booked a later table for lunch. We were not disappointed. Beautiful decor and ambience, lovely views and welcoming and friendly service. Menu choices were wonderful and different - difficult to choose!
The flavour of everything we ordered was amazing - that wood fire grill taste is fantastic. We ordered the Iberico Secreto (delicious pork), Corvina (fish) Skewers and Beef Tacos, together with tomato and onion salad and roasted potatoes with sea salt and rosemary. There were three of us and we were very hungry after our long walk but we only just managed to finish everything. Decent portion sizes and beautifully presented. Maybe did not need the side dishes but they were delicious.
Would have loved to each have dessert - they looked amazing! - but we were too full so just managed to share a Sunday Caramel - yum yum!
For drinks, we ordered a couple of fruit juice mixes - very unusual combinations - one glass of Rose wine and a few bottles of water.
The bill including VAT was Euros 169 and whilst a more expensive option for lunch, we felt it was definitely worth it for location, food and service that was all high quality.
Thank you to all the staff! We will definitely...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Nun in Calle Llonga, one of the most beautiful spots on the island, at the end of October. I was in Ibiza for an art exhibition at the Mondrian Hotel in Calle Llonga, where a friend of mine was also showcasing her work. The day after my arrival, I joined a couple of friends who live here for lunch at Nun, and it couldn’t have been a better choice.
I must admit, I was a bit tired of the trendy restaurants in Ibiza that seem more about being seen than the food itself. However, at Nun, the professional waiter recommended several dishes that truly surprised me. The quality of the food was exceptional, based on natural ingredients and prepared with great skill. We sampled a variety of dishes, as everyone in our group chose something different, allowing us to taste a little bit of everything. It was a sublime experience!
I also had the opportunity to meet the owner, Olivia, who warmly shared her philosophy behind the menu. She focused on healthy food, which reflects in the thoughtfully crafted dishes at her restaurant.
After such a delightful first visit, I couldn’t resist returning the next day for lunch. It reaffirmed, if there was any doubt, that Nun is the best restaurant on the island. I will definitely be back every time I visit Ibiza! Thank you so much,...
Read moreThe food here was very delicious and high quality but came with an unreasonable price tag.
The gambas margarita were very delicious and the highlight of the meal. Plenty of prawns, beautifully cooked over their wood fire and seasoned with a creative mix of paprika, tequila, lime and coriander (and no doubt more). For €32 this felt tolerable, just.
The grilled courgette salad was tasty and well presented. €24 was pushing it for a few strips of vegetable, admittedly nicely grilled, with some basil leaves, pumpkin seeds, pecans and Parmesan.
Then there was the fish tacos. They were again delicious, freshly made and well presented. However they were difficult to swallow due to their €28 price tag. You might think you’d get 4 to enjoy for that price or maybe even 6, but here we only got 2. And they weren’t piled high with toppings either. It felt like this really missed the mark versus the other items.
Otherwise the drinks were nice, bread freshly made and alioli was smooth and just the right amount of garlic.
Views of the beach were beautiful. Restaurant ambience was nice and buzzy.
Service was however mixed. Slow on a number of items but they seemed very busy due to a conference lunch time surge so it may not have been typical.
Summary: tasty food with nice views but not...
