SONROJO Beach Chiringuito — Restaurant in Santa Eulària des Riu

We had a lovely experience at Sonrojo. Our servers, Nadia and Elena, were absolutely wonderful – very kind, attentive, and professional. The food overall was good. I originally wanted the octopus, but unfortunately the kitchen was not flexible to serve it without the purée and with vegetables instead, which I found a bit disappointing given my diet. I decided to go for the sea bass instead, and it was absolutely delicious.

My friends ordered the Russian salad – one of them was outstanding in taste and texture, while the other one turned out quite dry and lacked flavor.

All in all, the service was excellent and the atmosphere very nice, but I think the kitchen could improve in terms of flexibility...

The venue is nice, server told me no black rice then the black rice appeared on the table next to me. Also told me the lettuce usually comes with cheese but it’s her job to notice the dish looks different. The chef is the main flaw with this place and needs to up his game. This was the sea bass. Basic, bland, no idea, for €40 you’d expect a little more invention. Won’t ever go return. Way below average. I wouldn’t...

Fuimos un día nublado con reserva para comer en Sonrojo y pasar la jornada en la cala. Al final, no pudimos disfrutar de la cala, pero comer allí mejoró el día sin duda.

Nuestra idea era probar el restaurante y, de paso, conocer la cala para volver en otra ocasión con amigos o familiares. El servicio fue rápido y muy atento.

Pedimos de entrante pan con alioli, un clásico, aunque el alioli tenía un toque diferente: me supo más a salsa de ajo, pero estaba espectacular. Después, las croquetas de jamón resultaron súper melosas, un acierto total, y la ensaladilla de gambas estaba muy rica también.

Cada uno eligió su plato principal. En mi caso, pedí el arroz de setas y chuletón, que estaba increíble. Normalmente, los arroces me resultan pesados, pero este era ligero, poco graso y me sentó genial. Los que pidieron el cachopín coincidieron en que fue el mejor que habían comido, muy suave y fino. La hamburguesa también gustó mucho, y la lubina a la brasa era de excelente calidad.

Para rematar, probamos las tartas: la tarta de queso estilo vasca era intensa y sabrosa, y la tarta de chocolate estaba de diez.

En definitiva, un acierto total venir aquí. Un sitio muy bien cuidado, con buena comida, buen servicio y un entorno precioso....
