Got scammed. Ordered 1kg of premium beef rib on the bone and got about 500g of random pieces.

They usually serve all meats raw and let customers grill them at the table, but we asked for our slice to be cooked in the kitchen as it was a very large steak and it’d have been way better to cook as a whole by a professional chef rather than slicing it up in thin strips and ruin on a small bbq.

They refused to cook our steak themselves and instead sent us a few slices of raw meat (totally stripped of the outer fat) and the bone from the steak we chose (cooked).

the steak we chose had fantastic marbling, what we got was very lean the meat on the bone was completely different in flavour from the meat we got served sliced up (was supposed to be the same steak) what we got was at most 500g of meat, plus the bone. Hard to believe a bone and some fat (which was trimmed on purpose) add up to 500g.

We insisted for a larger than usual steak (1.2kg instead of their usual 1kg), but suspiciously the steak came out to weigh exactly 1kg. Weird that a chef with ninja-level steak cutting capabilities can slice 1kg on the dot but cannot bother to make the steak larger.

When confronted, 2 waiters weren’t capable of answering our questions and when we got to speak to the chef, he didn’t let us explain for a good 5 minutes, before starting to waffle things that had nothing to do with what we were saying (eg we asked about how the marbling was different between what we ordered and what we got and he answered that they trim the extra side fat to avoid having too much smoke in the dining room while guests cook their steaks)

They do have great meat, but they just won’t serve it to you. Maybe if you get a mixed grill you get a better deal because that is likely where the meat from the top...

Lets start by saying these places are there to serve their customers, our experience was not good. The weather was not great, it was windy, so we were seated quickly out of the wind inside the restaurant. My partner has always eaten little & often & does not like large meals. We asked if she could have a kids meal & were refused, bearing in mind we would have ordered starters, my main & desserts on top of the drinks we had already ordered - its their loss, we walked away after paying for the drinks & went next door & spent our money there. If these people can't react to peoples requirements, they do not deserve to be in the business they are in. In this day & age, where everyone is asking about their customers dietary requirements, I find this odd ! My partner could have had a medical condition, do they care - NO. Suffice to say, we will not go back, plenty of places to eat in this area, they need to up...

We fancied a quick bite, nothing fancy, and this place had a board outside showing chicken escalope and chips for €5.50, so in we went. When we asked for the chicken we were told it was a childrens meal. We asked if we could have it anyway and were told the price would be different fair enough, we assumed we would get a bit more, but no. Just a small escalope and a portion of frozen chips no veg, nothing more. For our audacity in asking for a children's meal, we were charged €9 each for our kids meal. I'm quite sure the full menu food is very good it certainly looks good, and the staff are very polite, but we stay in this marina several times a year and and have done so for 30 years, but we won't be returning to this grill on principle. Set a price and I'll decide if I want that food at that price....
