Dakota Tex Mex - Can Picafort — Restaurant in Santa Margalida

It was a nice evening with good food and friends here. Would rate 4 stars for that.

BUT: I had the Mexican deluxe nachos (with „beef“ chilli and cheese) and asked the waiter if it’s 100% beef (as one of my group can‘t eat pork). He said: „Yes, everything only beef.“ It was all good good until a few days later when we came back.

We came here again and wanted to order the nachos with chilli once more. As it turns out, there‘s like 5-10% pork in the dish. That‘s not okay! If a waiter doesn‘t know the answer, please ask in the kitchen. It‘s unforgivable to lie to the customer, especially about those things!!!!

I feel so sad and very angry that I have to write directly to this waiter: You’re very lucky, that my friend didn’t eat any of my food. If that weren’t the case, you wouldn’t just have a bad review here. It‘s totally okay and human not to know everything about the food on the menu. We understand. A mixed bag on the food front - my Little Italian burger was probably one of the best I've eaten: juicy, tasty and delicious. My son and husband also enjoyed theirs, but weren't as blown away as I was. The disappointment came with my daughter's ribs; they were tough, chewy and didn't have much edible meat on them. After trying them, I'd say they needed several more hours in the slow cooker. Having discussed our experience with a few of the other the guests in our hotel, they also had a very similar take on the ribs. At over €20 for her meal, I'd say they need to work on this aspect of their menu. Service was good and the food was pretty quick to come out. Overall, we had a good meal, but I think it's a little over-priced for what you get (chips have to be ordered in addition to your burgers and at around €5, it makes the cost of a burger meal rather expensive as the portions...

We can't get enough of this place! We were looking for a real sparerib and this is the place to be. On the boulevard you can get nice decent food but this place is a true gem! Accidentally went 3 days in a row 🤔 the staff is really friendly and speak a lot of languages, they are genuinely happy to have you - unlike most other staff around here- and you can see they love their jobs and stand behind what they serve. All food is fresh and really good. From the sparerib to the burrito it's all just perfect. Served fresh and quick. When you finish they leave you in peace with a nice great coffee or whatever you wish. Unlike other places where they just want to to pay and leave the table so the next paying tourist can quickly take your spot. A great restaurant.
