If i could do zero or minus figures for service i would. i wanted paella but noticed it was for two people minimum and i was traveling on my own and the waiter who seemed to be in rush suggested a sea food pasta but he seemed miffed when i didn't take his food suggestion, and he hovered over me while i looked at the menu and i said give me 5 minutes. When he came back i said i wont have food as i really wanted paella so I just said I'll have a sangria. I got my sangria and whilst I was there I saw the other patrons food order arrive and it did look good. So I decided to stay and have dinner there. I told my waiter that I've actually decided to stay for food and can I have the menu. He walked off and disappeared for about 10-15 minutes before I, from afar, reminded him I needed a menu. He bought it over and then I ordered the pork from the grilled menu. I also ordered a sangria at that point because I'd finish my first. It was a while before the food arrived, but at no point did the sangria arrive. I then caught his eye and I again initiated from afar I was waiting for the sangria and he indicated that he was going to get it. Nothing arrived. I finished my food. I couldn't see the waiter he wasn't around. He's dealing with other people. Didn't even come over to me once since taking my order so I caught the attention of another waiter and asked for the bill. He printed off the bill and there was three sangrias noted on there. I said I only ordered two. One never arrived so I should only pay for one. That waiter went off to find my waiter to confer. My waiter came back and said you ordered three and you've drunk three and I said I've only been given one. I ordered it but you've never gave it to me. I said I asked for it twice to which I said I was chasing up where my sangria was. He started getting really angry and started saying I'm going to call the police. I said call the police as I haven't had more than one. He said initially said i had three then said I've had two and I said well then who bought me the second one. As he didn't have an answer as nobody did, he sarcastically and rudely said oh you're drunk, You can just pay for one. I said he was lying as he kept indicating I had three and then two he the called me a drunk and that I was going to now go to the beach and get drunk on the beach. I couldn't believe this waiter he was utterly unprofessional, utterly rude. Even his other waiter to colleagues joined in in trying to intimidate me saying ive been there for 2 half hours. I wasnt there for more than 2 hours and that was due to their slowness mainly. Since when is there a time limit on how long you can sit in a restaurant on holiday! . I told him just because he is a man he thinks he can intimidate a woman he can't. It was the worst experience I've ever had and I've traveled over 30 countries and I've never ever ever had an experience like this. There's something wrong with this man and the fact that his colleagues joined in and have no respect for their patrons. If I've had the sangria then I would pay for it. Why wouldn't anyone but if you're going to charge me for something I've not had that's not ok and then to make out that I'm trying to not pay and also now attack my character by saying I'm drunk. It is unacceptable behavior and that man really honestly should be sacked. He and his his waiter colleagues are a disgrace to...
Read moreBest restaurant we've visited in C'an Picafort. The pictures don't do it justice.
We arrived quite late, 9-ish, and found the restaurant at about half capacity. Good atmosphere. Plenty of happy jovial customers and engaging waiters.
We ordered a bread with ham starter and the battered camembert. Both delicious and both large dishes.
For mains, we had a veggie lasagne, garlic bread and chips. My partner ordered the carbonara with a garlic bread. The lasagne didn't look much in the dish but it was full of flavor and quite filling. The cabonara was equally tasty and filling. The garlic breads were huge! We could easily have had one between us but probably one of the best garlic breads I've had. The chips were nice but there were a few burnt ones at the bottom. I didn't find it too surprising as we were probably the last to eat that evening and I could have fit them in anyway. Drinks were excellent. The service was top notch. The three waiters we had thought the evening were engaging and seemed very proud of the restaurant and food on order.
Price-wise it is on the expensive side but considering the quality and experience it's fair and we were happy with the price at €91 euros including a large beer and bottle of wine for two.
Not only would I go again but we're actually going to go back the following night with other members of our group.
Great restaurant and I don't see how you could be...
Read moreWe sat outside but wish we hadn't. We ordered the octopus starter to share, it was so disappointing. It came pre chopped up on a bed of plain boiled potatoes, dripping in butter. We thought it was strange. Then we had black paella to share and the taste was good but we've had better. Unfortunately at this point we got swarmed by mosquitos- maybe they liked the smell of the paella because as soon as we finished they seemed to calm down a bit. We hurriedly ate our dinner to get away quick which was a shame we couldn't enjoy our last dinner on the island in peace (we were contantly swatting mosquitos away from our legs, arms faces etc). My husband got 15 bites just while we ate our food! It's not the restaurants fault but I recommend mosquito repellant if you come here at night. We were eager to get away and had to wait 15 mins to pay the bill, despite asking 3 different staff and the restaurant not being super busy at this time. The guy who took our payment was rude, didn't do anything bad but had a general manner of arrogance. Much better restaurants nearby...
