This restaurant is in a great location overlooking the bay. We decided to eat here after having a couple of impromptu takeaway pizzas which were really good.
We arrived at the restaurant asking for a table for four, where we were asked if we had a reservation- although we had been told the night before that Sa Cova operated a walk-in policy only.
We were sat at a great table just inside the restaurant and offered menus and the drinks order was taken. As we had ordered cocktails drinks arrived in an appropriate time, so far so good. The food order was then placed which consisted of two pizzas, pappardelle amatriciana, and grilled pork filet - nothing difficult there.
After 45 minutes sitting at the table we had not seen any front of house staff to let us know on the progress of the order, see if we may want more drinks to replace the ones emptied 20 minutes ago, or offered something whilst we waited for the restaurant to capture the pork that had been requested..
Pasta and pork finally arrived and 10 minutes later so did the two pizzas. We were now in that awkward situation, does half the table let the food go cold or tuck in whilst the other half look on enviously to what to be fair was very good food.
The very quickly cleared plates were quickly taken away. After another 25 minutes sitting looking at each other and the wallpaper (after over 90 minutes waiting for one course of food even the view lost its allure) we googled somewhere to go for desert and left.
Although the food is great (well the main course as we were never offered any postres or coffee) the front of house staff were more interested in arguing amongst themselves and cleaning already cleared tables then looking after their customers.
In summary, food as tasted is really good but bring sandwiches and drinks to keep you going as you wait to order and...

Read moreIn our week, we went here 3 times - twice for breakfast and morning coffee and once for a wonderful evening meal. This restaurant is quite lovely as are all the staff. We are not good with Spanish but we had great success with plenty of friendly help. One of the waitresses was called Eva - we think - and what a star. Thank you for your care and attention and total friendliness. The tables are nicely spaced and food presentation was excellent. All of you were fantastic and we would like to think we will see you again. Recommend the Tuna Titaka (I think that's the name) or any amazing...
