La Paletta Restaurante — Restaurant in Santa Pola

This is the second visit to La Paletta tonight .. we returned after a lovely meal last year..our family party of four sat to enjoy a second meal.. we ordered our drinks and food. My son of 15 years went to the toilet and came back to say he couldn't go as there was a large cockroach on the sink in the men's toilet. I advised one of the waitresses and she said it's come in through window which is fair enough, but made me feel like I shouldn't of asked, I said I'm sorry but he can't go to the toilet with that there. In the meantime the other waitresses was getting a dust pan and brush to get the cockroach, my husband asked if he could get it for them, she scoweled and proceeded to go to the bathroom. We felt so uncomfortable from this moment like we shouldn't of mentioned the cockroach!! Good food in general but didn't feel like good...

Went here for a recent family meal and although the food was tasty, we found that the service was very very slow. We were there for over two hours and we only ordered Bruschetta starters and some burgers as mains. Two adults and two kids. This should not take over two hours!!! My young daughter was due some ice cream from the kids menu as a dessert but we needed to go as we had already been there over two hours and didn’t want to waste the rest of our evening in the slowest restaurant in town. Please avoid unless you have lots...

We go here because it's very very good all round, have never been other than chuffed with our food selections, it's not too expensive as in my opinion we get good value for what we pay. Wine's to choose are all pdg again very reasonably priced. It's really up there one of the best restaurants in Gran Alicant possibly the best. Have been frequenting this restaurant since it opened and often can't get a table coz we ain't booked far enough ahead that says millions...
