Disappointing service despite a nice rooftop view

We visited this rooftop bar yesterday evening with my brothers, planning to enjoy a couple of cocktails. The place itself is nice – beautiful rooftop view, pleasant atmosphere, and cocktails that tasted good (though not cheap at €14 each).

Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. The bar was half empty, yet no one greeted us when we arrived. The two waiters, who were clearly not busy, just stood around chatting and pretending not to see us until we walked up to them ourselves. They told us to sit anywhere, but after sitting down we waited about 5 minutes with no attention at all, eventually having to grab menus from another table on our own.

When we finally ordered, it took around 10 minutes to get our cocktails. As soon as they arrived, the waiters immediately asked us to pay, which felt very disrespectful. For a bar in a supposedly 5-star hotel, this behavior was shocking. It honestly felt like the staff were more afraid we wouldn’t pay than interested in offering any hospitality.

We paid, finished quickly, and left. Management should seriously train their staff – it’s unacceptable for waiters in a half-empty bar to do nothing and treat...

We have visited this restaurant a couple of times since we are staying in Atzavara. Twice during dinner and once during the lunch. The restaurant is cozy, nicely decorated and the food is on a level where it should be. Especially the mussels made in seafood sauce are fabulous. Unfortunately, we noticed some issues which did not reach our expectations. During dinner the service seems to forget about you after your main course/dessert. It takes a long time to request the bill which is unfortunate. When we returned at lunch time it took them 20 minutes to take our order. They were with 7 hardworking people in the service, but it wasn’t busy at all, since they had all the time to stare out of the window and chitchat with each other. Besides all of that, the service speaks hardly English. This is something you would expect from a restaurant on this level in a five star hotel. El restaurante Bamboo sabe cómo impresionar desde el momento en que pones un pie en su puerta. Como un regalo de bienvenida, te reciben con unas aceitunas de anchoas con pesto y un cóctel sin alcohol que está increíble.

Como entrante, nos aventuramos con el brioche de steak tartar y el de tartar de atún. Ambos platos estaban llenos de sabor y presentados con mucho mimo.

Desde que entramos por la puerta, el personal fue increíblemente amable y atento. Uno de los camareros, David, fue un verdadero crack y nos aconsejó como si fuéramos de la familia. Nos guió por el menú, nos recomendó platos que se ajustaban perfectamente a nuestras preferencias y nos aseguró una experiencia fabulosa. Gracias a él, pudimos elegir los mejores platos de la carta, sin perder ninguna joya culinaria que Bamboo tenía para ofrecer.

El personal en general merece un reconocimiento de diez puntos. Fueron extremadamente atentos y amables en todo momento, asegurándose de que nuestra experiencia fuera inolvidable. Siempre estaban a nuestro lado cuando los necesitábamos, con una sonrisa en el rostro y una disposición genuina para hacer que nos sintiéramos bienvenidos. La comida merece un 10 rotundo. Cada plato que probé era aún mejor que el anterior. Los chefs en la cocina son unos genios, y cada bocado que probé fue un viaje de sabor que nos dejó maravillados.

Pero hablemos del verdadero protagonista: el cheesecake. Sin exagerar, puedo afirmar que es el mejor que he probado en mi vida. La textura suave y cremosa se fundía en la boca, y el equilibrio de dulzura era simplemente perfecto.

Además de la comida, el ambiente es genial. El lugar tiene una onda moderna y elegante que te hace sentir cómodo y relajado. La iluminación tenue y la música de fondo crean un ambiente acogedor para disfrutar de una cena con amigos o una cita romántica.

En conclusión, el restaurante Bamboo ofrece una experiencia gastronómica inolvidable. Desde las deliciosas aceitunas de bienvenida hasta los platos principales como el brioche de steak tartar , las recomendadas croquetas y el arroz de presa ibérica, cada detalle es un deleite para los sentidos. El personal fue súper amable y atento, especialmente David, quien nos aconsejó de maravilla. La comida fue de otro nivel, y el cheesecake fue una verdadera maravilla.
