Well, very mixed experience. Let's start with the good things: the place has nice vibe and live music is a nice touch, it lures you in, unfortunately.
So to the worse side of tonight's visit: the host at the door had his hands full, not his fault, however the sight of man in a rush almost running with you to the table made me feel that either they are understaffed or created a place that they really do not know how to work in. waitress was visibly negative towards us from the moment we only decided to order one starter dish and a beer + a "cocktail". That's definitely not how you want to treat anyone in this business, if you are working with people your sole goal is not to rob them of their money, it is to give them quality service and food/drinks. I did work a lot in this sector and truly live by high standards of hosting people in any place. If you feel that working in a restaurant is a chore that only gets better with tables filled with drunk rich people tipping you, you should change businesses. Also, once I asked for the bill a waiter that wasn't serving us originally, he only pointed me to the waitress that took our order, but did not think for a second that maybe it would be a good idea to let her know. It was clear they have some sort of waiters and I guess runners system where only selected few are approaching guests and discussing menu/bills while others are basically food delivery machines with no mouths but it still looks like bad organisation and poor manners to just not give a damn. On top of that I was truly astounded to see that the bill was only ever in the hands of the waitress. I don't know what financial law in Spain says about this but in all countries I ever been in, you are required to present the guest with the bill and leave it with him. The waitress however held it in her hands the entire time I paid with card, then asked me if I want the copy, while I agreed she printed it, stuck it with the bill and decided to rush off (what's the point of asking me if I want a copy that you don't want to give me?). If I hadn't stopped her asking for the bill I would never have seen it. That smells like scam practices. To be honest, and to be fair, no scam happened, the place did charge as it advertised however such behaviour is giving very bad vibes.
When it comes to the cocktail, it was the cheapest combination you could imagine, a store bough strawberry syrup (really guys, all it takes to do it well is buy frozen strawberries, and blend it with sugar, that way you get a nice looking drink but I guess you would need to pay more for quality...), I guess 40 ml of gin that was completely lost in the mix plus a lot of ice and some lemons.
Literally 100m later I've seen the same coctail 5 Euros less and looking better.
Croquetas were ok, I've had better but 2 Euro/piece for the smallest croquetes I've seen in Spain seems a...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant as a family of five during our Spain holiday, drawn by the strong reviews and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.
We ordered drinks, a cheese plate to share, and five main dishes. The waiter recommended serving the starter and drinks first, which we agreed to - but the cheese plate never arrived. When we kindly asked another staff member about it, the reaction felt dismissive, and we were questioned then whether we even ordered it, which was frustrating. I ended up to simply skip the plate and asked to pay.
Food-wise: most dishes were average to good. My son’s steak was decent, and my dish was okay. However, the octopus was a real letdown ; poorly prepared and barely edible. My daughter couldn’t eat it, and even her boyfriend, a professional cook, pointed out the issues. Staff didn’t follow up or ask why a full dish was left untouched.
The salad my wife and I shared seemed fine at first, but a few hours later, both of us felt sick — she quite severely, for almost two days. We suspect the salad was the cause, even though it didn’t taste off.
All in all, disappointing service and inconsistent food quality - especially compared to what we expected based on reviews. Drinks were good, and the place looked nice, which is why I’m still...
Read moreThis place is absolutely amazing, recommend this to everyone is Santa Susanna. The waiters are so amazing!!! Incredible service, and I didn't doubt ONE time that the service will be bad. Everyone is so nice, the waiters are so friendly, and they make you feel that they're your friend. I don't think I've ever went to a restaurant who's perfect in every area. Amazing staff with quality workers. I spent my time here in Santa Susanna, and my favourite place was always to go to little Lua. It's such a little place and a beautiful view of the street. There are many good and nice restaurants here in Santa Susanna, but if there is one that stands out to me it's Lua. I've stayed here for about 19 days, and I've probably spent most of my days at the restaurant Lua. No question if I ever come back here that this will be my go to restaurant. They such amazing people and made me really happy with my stay here. The boss here is called Ruth and she makes everyone feel so welcome!!! Absolutely amazing atmosphere, the vibe here and everyone is. No question that this is a place everyone should experience. I wish more bosses were like Ruth very kind and. Thank you for making Santa Susanna feel even MORE amazing!!!!!:) I will definitely come back here if I ever visit. If you want to have a good time!!!! Lua...
