We walked in simply to enjoy a pint of Heineken and ask for information about karaoke in Santa Susanna, but were shocked at the owner’s attitude. Instead of being welcoming, he went on a rant against the British, saying he doesn’t want them in his pub, calling Brits “always a problem,” “drunken parents with kids running around,” and dismissing places like Benidorm as “only for drunken Brits.” It felt extremely rude and arrogant, especially considering that he himself once lived in the UK (Devon).
