Visited because of the number of excellent reviews and I'm so glad we did I LOVE it here. Firstly the service was perfect - we were greeted immediately by a tall woman with short wavy hair (I wish I got her name her service was exceptional) who welcomed and chatted with us and got us menus. The food options were great even for my vegan friend and changes to dishes were easy since she spoke fluent English and made us feel so at home. I went on the woman's reccomendation for a beef baguette with gravy and chips and SO glad I did it was divine and my friend said hers was excellent too. And the cocktails were delicious and super strong! And the music was PERFECTION every song was a banger. The 3 is for the food only they really need to work on the customer service side, the first day I asked to add to the egg on toast the manager said you will get me strung up or words to that effect and the second day they forgot my scrambled egg and at first he said I'll bring it out but then came over and said he wouldn't have taken the order for extra scrambled egg (someone else took the order) as there is only one chef and basically the customers that came in after me would need to get their food first so I wasn't getting it. Phil and Jo are among the nicest and the most amazing people I have had the opportunity to know and work for. The Drunken Duck has delicious uncomplicated food and a positive energy that lifts anyone up. It also gives the space one needs to just chill and relax. With a vibrant, cost effective and well stocked bar, no drinking endeavors are left unfulfilled. The large screens in the pub are always showcasing the top games and matches to go in hand with the selection of beers, drinks and food.
