Restaurante El Muelle — Restaurant in Santander

We a actually wanted to eat at the restaurant a few doors down but it was closed so settled on this place. Glad we did. This seafood restaurant is pretty outstanding with the types of food on the menu. We had the small seafood lobster platter which was tasty. We also ordered clams cooked in garlic, that satisfied my friend as it’s one of his favourite shellfish. We asked for a tomato salad on top of the mix salad (decent portion), since tomatoes are in season it was juicy and sweet. It was seafood heaven. The lady serving us was nice though didn’t speak much English, but we managed to communicate with whatever Spanish words we knew. I don’t often leave reviews but this was so appalling from start to finish I feel I must share the experience. The greeting was none existent, the waiter was rude and clearly irritated that a non Spanish speaking visitor had discovered this restaurant. For a minute it even looked like he might refuse us entry and when he did he changed his mind 3 times about where we could sit. We ordered paella which arrived in less than 10 minutes. It was inedible. The rice was so undercooked you simply couldn’t chew without risk of a visit to the dentist. We left most of the dish and then paid the bill and left. después de estar llendo varias veces anteriormente, se nos ocurre ir este sábado con 4 amigos, 6 personas en total, al menú de 20€ con arroz, entrantes, bebida y postre. En el menú entra arroz negro y de marisco, y en entrantes ensaladilla, rabas y croquetas. El camarero nos dice que no le quedan ni croquetas, ni arroz negro, pero que tiene arroz con caracoles, con bogavante, pulpo de entrantes...( TODO ÉSTO, NOSOTROS REFIRIENDONOS AL MENÚ HABIENDO DICHO AL SENTARNOS QUE QUE BIEN ESTABA ESE MENÚ ) , pues bien, nos empieza a traer estos arroces, nosotros pidiendole como si fuera menú, traenos 3 porque al ser 6 son 2 por pareja no? Si si...entrantes lo mismo que es cada 2? postres, lo mismo cada 2? vino traenos el que tengas etc Llega la hora de pagar, 227,80€, nos dice el amigo, que claro...es que le hemos pedido otras cosas, CÓMO?? si veniamos aqui por el menú, te lo hemos dicho, hemos pedido en todo momento con las cantidades del menú como tu nos guiabas, hasta en los postres él mismo nos dijo, son 3 !! la lastima que pagó mi amigo antes de que lo vieramos todos, si no no hubieramos pagado ese engaño vergonzoso, a mala fé, y miserable. Fui a enseñarles el restaurante a las otras 2 parejas, para que sus comidas de empresa las hicieran ahí ya que yo estaba muy contento con este restaurante, una gran decepción lo del otro día, muy feo, y para no volver nunca más,además de referirnos a él desde entonces como el restaurante donde nos engañaron de la forma más ruin de todos los que hemos conocido en Santander. NO VAYAIS !! Ahora veréis la cuenta, y nosotros ibamos y el camarero lo sabía a por el menú de 20€, que es lo que nos costaron...
