My fiancé has visited this part of Mallorca many times and this place is always the first thing she and her family talk about.

I've been back one day and happily making time to review this place and the lovely owners that make the place awesome.

I've mostly travelled low budget, on the go trips. This time my future dad in law treated me and the missus to my first all inclusive 'beach' break.

I'm personable and definitely appreciate attention to personal touches. Whether it's accommodation, restaurants, Tours, bars etc.

In super tourist driven destinations it drains me to go and 'experience' Shops selling the same tat as the next, Sales boards, over hyped pricy excursions or restaurant menus offering the same old dishes. Heartbreakingly, more fry ups and roasts than authentic traditional cuisine.

Home comforts, I get everyone needs at least one but main idea leaving 'home', is to do, see something different? A new experience? Of course a relaxing timeout from life! For most, an expensive luxury! Naturally you want exactly what you need, when you want it. Some places I've visited, have become more accommodated and consumer home comfort adapted. That they've lost its charm. In my opinion To travel and do exactly what initially, I'm trying to get away and rest from. Seems, well a bit stupid and pointless.

In a very long winded way, my point is;

So what If they don't have a menu?

How much? What's in it? How much alcohol is in it? Total buzz kill it before you've even sat down..

Instead relax and don't let home reactions dampen the night.

My experience of Kalypso tutti fruitti was always 5 star. I got to know two, incredibly down to earth, hard working, charismatic and charming people. Running a querky bar in a perfect location. Seating set back from the bustling central strip of restaurants and bars. 7 days a week, obscene opening hours, doing everything possible to make holidaymakers day/night time better and ultimately contributing to happy memorable times with your family.

We went every night and always a looked forward to part of the evening.

Greeted with Hawaiian lay and Alohas from Nikki/Main man Mr O :) or staff. On order, you're welcomed and introduced to what the place is all about! Try House special of the night or basically whatever version of cocktail you prefer.

Again, previous reviews... no menu?! NO NEED! Warm, welcoming and informative conversation with each table. Takes its place instead. Brilliant.

Amazing cocktail concoctions, delivered with sparkler-fruits bouquets and dry ice spectacles. Every cocktail contained in these cool ass handmade Tiki-Tropical inspired pots/jugs. Always accompanied by best snack bar nuts available (we tried a lot) and a "Salut" What more do you need?

On arrival you are a greeted and sat down by Nicky the owner. She welcomes you as if to her home.

You are then offered a unique tropical drink of the day. Nicky will explain the ingredients, if you do not like what is offered she will ask what flavours you like and make a special drink for you.

Not a typical cocktail that you can get anywhere but a unique tropical drink

They are served in huge special “volcanos” if sharing or in wonderful unique jugs if not.

My husband and myself always have different so we never share.. he started this trip only wanting beer and is now a lover of kalypso tutti frutti drinks.

The warmth and hospitality is excellent .

You here people saying they have been visiting for over 20 years. Generations return here so you know it’s good!

Tutti and frutti are the two beautiful birds. They are so loved and well looked after. Rest assured these birds are not here just to attract you in. They are the sole of the bar

Kalypso tutti frutti is a must when in Cala dor.

Make sure you visit this bar as there are other tiki bars but they DO NOT offer the same warmth of hospitality and they do not offer the unique drinks. Look for big red palm tree.

The decoration is very elaborate and waiting staff are friendly although seem rushed/unorganised. My drink was not nice at all, i ordered a Mojito as it is my favorite drink, they failed to tell me it would be served in some kind of flower vase sized glass and it was basically undrinkable, i asked the barman for more brown sugar and a top up of sparking water to which he very rudely responded that he doesn't make mojitos that way and he topped it up with orange juice and pineapple juice.... Not what I asked for. Since i was paying for it (12€ for this rediculously oversized drink) and i was the one who intented on drinking it i would have appreciated it had he simply done what i asked. We had to wait quite a long time until being greeted, for the drinks and for the bill. There's no menu...Just recommendations. Irritating techno music in the background which didn't really work well to create the chilled atmosphere the place should have. This is my experience with this place, I'm sure if you don't have to interact with the barman your experience will be fine and simply don't order a Mojito if you really enjoy a proper...
