Exceptional Italian Cuisine Experience!
Embarking on a culinary adventure at La Pappa was an absolute delight! Nestled in the heart of our town, this charming establishment has swiftly become my go-to spot for authentic Italian cuisine.
Stepping into La Pappa, I was immediately captivated by the cozy ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth and guided me through the menu with expert knowledge and passion.
Now, let's dive into the culinary treasures I had the pleasure of experiencing. First up, the Spaghetti Quadrati Tartufo e Porcini - a true masterpiece of flavors and textures. The square spaghetti, delicately coated in a luxurious blend of black truffle and porcini mushrooms, danced on my palate with each delightful bite. The generous shaving of parmigiano added a perfect touch of richness to this exquisite dish.
Next, I embarked on A Walk in the Woods, a dish that truly lived up to its poetic name. This culinary creation was a symphony of flavors, with fior di latte mozzarella serving as the perfect canvas for the earthy notes of black truffle and porcini mushrooms. The addition of garlic and celery root pureé elevated the dish to new heights, while the truffled parmigiano added a final flourish of decadence.
As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but appreciate the culinary artistry that went into crafting these dishes. La Pappa's commitment to using only the finest ingredients and showcasing the essence of Italian cuisine is truly commendable.
In conclusion, my experience at La Pappa was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're a connoisseur of Italian cuisine or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience, La Pappa is the place to be. Prepare to indulge your senses and embark on a gastronomic journey like no other. Buon...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at La Papa. We were seated at a table with at least 20 flies around us, making it nearly impossible to enjoy our meal. Instead of eating, we spent most of the time swatting flies away from our food. I had my small baby with me, and even she was very uncomfortable because of this.
We politely asked several times if we could move to another table, but the staff was rude and dismissive. Only after asking four times were we finally allowed to switch tables—by then, our food was already nearly finished. At the new table, there were no flies, which made it very clear that the issue could have been solved from the beginning. Unfortunately, the staff treated us with obvious irritation throughout the rest of the visit.
The food itself was no better. The carbonara left a disgusting aftertaste in our mouths, and we even found hairs in the tiramisu.
The worst part came after. Once we got back home, both my wife and I suffered severe food poisoning. We spent the entire night vomiting and with diarrhea, barely able to move from the bathroom. My wife is still extremely sick, and this has completely ruined the end of our holiday. We now even have to fly while feeling this unwell, something we have never experienced before.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had unpleasant atmosphere, unhelpful staff, and serious concerns about food safety. And we spend more than €100. Seriously disappointed.
UPDATE: My wife and I both were contaminated with Salmonella. This place is super unhygienic. Please consider going here. My wife was dehydrated so we needed to go to...
Read moreDuring our holiday, we decided one night to give La Pappa a try for dinner. First impressions? Not great. We were sat at a dirty table that staff promised to clean “shortly”, a promise that aged like fine vinegar. Twenty minutes later, no cleaning, no menus, and no progress. We left with more frustration than food.
Still, in the spirit of second chances (and empty stomachs), we returned another night. This time we were seated at a clean table, progress! Spirits lifted. We ordered drinks, starters, and mains. Drinks and starters arrived fairly quickly, and hope flickered once again. But then came the wait… and wait… and wait.
An hour and 20 minutes later, our pizza and pasta finally arrived, presumably having just cleared customs from Rome. I mean, for an “authentic” Italian experience, they might actually fly your food in after you order it. It’s not fast food, it’s airmail cuisine.
When the mains eventually touched down at our table (with all the ceremony of a baggage handler dropping luggage), we weren’t offered pepper or cheese with the pasta, a sin in any self-respecting Italian eatery. Around us, other tables seemed to be stuck in the same slow-motion dining experience. At least misery had company.
La Pappa might serve up decent food (eventually), but unless you’ve got the patience of a saint or a six-course audiobook to get through, maybe pick somewhere with a little more urgency and a little...
