Definitely recommend that you don't get scammed with other places of the area who have been renovated for insta. This place is unique and has remained the same offering great food and service with spanish flavors.

We were hosted by a nice German waiter with a great smile, loved her authencity.

The pimentos, alioli, fish all freshl+ sangría was of the best we had.

We finished with a bill of less than 45euros, really unbeatable!

I insist in putting a review here cause the following night we tried a different place in the area, ended up with a waterish sangría for 28euros + supermarket alioli.

If you aren’t a German you don’t feel welcome…

When asking for a table they look frustrated, when you ask for a rice instead of french fries they rather see you go.. 3 of us wanted rice but she said that only 2 was possible because they didn’t have more rice or something like that…

And i asked if they could leave the mushrooms but she said no… her respons: “you can pick them out yourself”

I switched to the burger and that one was okay but the extra fried potatoes pieces came straight of a Lidl store around the corner.

Price too high for the service and we did not...

Cuando llegué a Strandkorb, sentí que estaba entrando en un refugio playero con sabor: toldos ligeros, mesas bien dispuestas, plantas decorando rincones y un cartel que invita al descanso. Me sentaron en la terraza, a la sombra entre palmeras, viendo cómo pasa la gente caminando al frente, con ese murmullo del verano de fondo.

De entrada pedí unas gambas al ajillo para calentar motores. Luego — impulsado por consejo del camarero — pedí steak de atún con salsa marina como plato fuerte. De postre me atreví con la tarta de queso con frutas del bosque, acompañada de un café con caramelo líquido. Para beber, elegí una sangría suave, fría, para que el calor y el sabor se mezclasen sin competir.

Las gambas vinieron saltarinas, jugosas, con ese ajo que te hace mojar pan compulsivamente. El atún estaba en su punto: firme, pero suave al morder, con ese aroma a mar que no se supera. La tarta de queso fue delicada, dulce lo justo, con frutas que le daban chispa. La sangría acompañó sin robar protagonismo.

El servicio fue amable y cercano: el camarero caminaba con paso confiado, explicaba cada plato del día, estaba atento sin agobiar. Cuando la terraza se empezó a llenar, noté pequeñas demoras entre platos, pero no me molestaron: el entorno y la luz bajante lo hicieron parte del encanto.

El ambiente de Strandkorb es ese punto medio entre “restaurante con personalidad” y “café de veraneo”: música suave, risas compartidas, luz cálida, conversaciones al compás del viento. Me fui con ganas de volver al amanecer para ver el mar desde ese...
