Absolutely awful attitude. Won’t recommend to English speaking people. I came in and was not welcome. So as a tourist, I sat outside the restro, tried to politely say hola and switch into English politely.
And the two young male stuff looked at me with contempt and said no speak English without giving me the menu or service.
For sure, I won’t take speaking in English for granted and it’s my fault for not knowing Spanish so I admitted it and apologized but if you don’t like serving English speaking people or ethnic minority, maybe you should have put: only Spanish in the entrance right ?
Or if you give me the menu, I can try to Google translate the words ? More importantly, we can break the language barrier together :-)? Instead of giving me racist hard feeling ?
When I checked out other restros nearby and came along, two young male waiters still looked at me with negative and condescending attitude as if my existence was wrong.
I’ve already left gracefully and didn’t disturb them but I felt really upset because their behaviours were not mature and...
Read moreExcellent Peruvian food, cooked and presented exceptionally well in a small, cozy space with a large outdoor patio. I have a very special spot for South American food and this did not disappoint.
We stumbled across this restaurant randomly and it was such a good find! The servers were gracious and friendly. The decor is bright and colourful, the A/C was a welcome reprieve in the heat, and decorated nicely. There is attention to detail in everything.
The tapas are quite large and very good value for the price. Two of us only ordered 4 and were very full. Mostly because the causa is big and filling. I probably would not order that again as it was not very special, but the ceviche and veal heart were fantastic! So tasty, and the ceviche especially was packed with all sorts of beautiful textures and flavours. Very expertly prepared dish. Yuca was also some of the best I've ever had.
It is worth the trek from the...
