I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant Ilforno recently, and I must say that the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we entered, the warm, small but cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home.
The food was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and carefully prepared. The fresh pasta and pizza are simply exceptional. Moreover, the wine selection is impressive, allowing us to perfectly pair our dinner.
I would especially like to highlight our waitress, Erika. Her attention to detail and kindness truly made a difference in our experience. Despite finding herself in a complicated situation with some rude customers who showed no respect, Erika handled the situation with admirable calmness and professionalism. She maintained a friendly and helpful attitude, ensuring that all the other diners felt comfortable and well taken care of.
It is a relief to see someone like Erika in customer service, who not only knows how to handle difficult situations but also makes everyone feel valued. She is undoubtedly a great asset to Ilforno.
I highly recommend Ilforno to anyone looking for a delicious dining experience and exceptional service. I will definitely return to enjoy another...
Read moreAfter weeks of saying we should give the pizza here a go, basically because the menu says vegan options - we did finally last week. We always tend to wander past in the day and it looks quiet, but when I went one evening to order takeaway it was busy and the atmosphere seemed nice. I would have eaten in (pizza always loses something I think, once it has left the premises and gone on a journey to your home) but we have two dogs, not sure if Il Forno are dog friendly, I haven't actually asked, but either way it feels a bit of a small place for 2 dogs who would just get totally in the way! Anyway, for vegans they have vegan cheese so you can sub that on any veggie pizza. The pizzas we had were both very good, probably the best we've had in Sitges, my only thought was that I would have preferred the base to be a bit 'more' Napolitana. It felt a little more crispy on the edge than I would have liked. Maybe that's just me. They also seem to charge a standard 15.50 for any vegan pizza regardless of what it is, which does make it a little pricey. But we did like it and we will...
Read moreWaiting staff seem inexperienced, I waited to be attended to for about 5 minutes, standing inside whilst both staff members were doing nothing much. I had to approach them, asking to be seated. The front door of the restaurant seems to be controlled from the cashiers desk rather than motion sensors, which is odd. I had a pasta dish, I wasn't offered any parmesan and had to ask for it. The food itself was very nice, the chef obviously knows what he's doing, although the portion size was on the small side. The wine measure was also quite small. I think the service would have to improve in order to ensure return custom, especially with the huge choice of...
