I had high expectations given the good reviews, but the food was below average to mediocre and the portion sizes are too small. The menu prices are misleading as a result, with the individual curry price appearing like a bargain but the accompanying rice and/or side dish being comparatively overpriced pushes the cost of the least expensive entree to 13 or 15 euros with very little food. The key word here is comparatively, as their naan and rice prices are slightly higher than other restaurants, but due to the small portions there is a starker contrast.
My wife and I had the vindaloo and madras, both were lacking in depth of flavor and texture and contained roughly 6 small bits of chicken that were also flavorless.
Service was good and our waiter was attentive and friendly. I also like that he responded to this review as it shows they care about customer satisfaction. He even offered not to charge us if we didn't enjoy the food prior to it being served, but out of politeness I told him it was fine when asked how we enjoyed it. I also wouldn't have accepted an offer of free food.
I wouldn't recommend eating here when there are other real authentic Indian restaurants in Cala Millor and the...
Read moreService was very good but the taste was not upto the mark. As an Indian I was expecting traditional taste but instead it was rather local. Being vegetarian we ordered paneer jalfrezi ( off the menu rip from chicken jalfrezi) which didn't have any paneer I have ever had, tasted more like solid egg white cut in cubes. when asked the owner he says it is made of vegetables bla bla. The mango lassi was more like diluted yogurt water with mango flavour. The veg biryani to take away was offered without any yogurt or raita and had to pay extra again tasted more like fried pulao rice with heafty price tag. The garlic naan was thin and crispy although the taste was good and made fresh. Food looked and tasted freshly prepared. The location and seating was good. Would be a good choice as an average curry house for tourist but for Indians looking for home food being tired of hotel buffet, this is not the place IMO. Chicken or lamb might be cooked from heaven but I...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience at Kohinoor Indian Tandoori .The food was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan were standout dishes, and the variety of vegetarian options was impressive too!
