La Gramola — Restaurant in Son Servera

I've been on holiday to Mallorca a couple times and tried some really good food but I never thought THE best food I would ever have on holiday (in Europe) would be in a cosy humble cafe/restaurant, just a turn off the beach (away from the tourist traps 6 min walk) I would happen to stumble upon by accident. The best pulpo gallego, chipirones, huevos rotos we’ve ever had (and we make a note to order these wherever we go). Sharing plates for the whole family, enough to leave you going home happy and full just like at your nans house. Complimentary bread olíves and aioli and nice and friendly staff. Everything made fresh, homemade handcut fries etc. I still dream of this place and the food. I’d actually book another holiday just to eat there again ha! For the sharing portions and quality of food didn’t think it would end up to £15 per person, including sangrias and beers for all. Honestly you won’t regret it. Little hidden gem near the beach, we were treated really well here, plus the food was amazing! typical Spanish food at its finest. We didnt eat a lot because the children were making a mess, flying juices.. bread everywhere.. which didn't take off the smile of the staff at any moment, they even replaced the juice of my little one.. but I really apreciate the fact that i ate the best calamari I've ever had. And ( not being a coccktail place) my partner said her piña colada, was the best she ever had too. We will definetly come back when we can control the beasts a bit...

We stopped off into Cala Millor from Cala Bona and stumbled across this restaurant when walking from the bus to the beach. At the time, it was only locals in there (which is always a good sign for me!). Caters for English speakers so no need to brush up on your Spanish.

We had the Jamón Serrano, Padron Peppers, Baby Octopus and some olives/bread. Kids had a kids meal from the menu.
