Asian Varadero Restaurante — Restaurant in Tías

Visited on the 19th of August for take out,got back to our apartment to find burnt prawn toast that snapped when going to eat it we had large chunks of cucumber instead of thinly sliced to go with the crispy duck and pancakes, they were dry and split We also asked what the large spring rolls were, and the member of staff said 50 on the menu to find they 2 small ones in the bag for 2 adults We also ordered prawn curry with just onions and egg fried rice, which was more like boiled rice with egg thrown in was not happy at all . Went back to complain about the food and was given new prawn toast that was absolutely full of grease and as burnt as the first lot I will not be returning to this Chinese again because this is the second time iv been disappointed. i also had the house special in an omelette, no omelette and very, very greese . We have been to several Chinese restaurants in puerto del carmen. This one is by far the best. We call it Tangs as we believe that is the name of the owner. Over the years, have probably eaten here in excess of 15 times. Never had a bad meal. Portions aren't particularly big, but that seems to be the case of all Chinese in PDC. They always offer us complimentary drinks. We also get complimentary prawn crackers. They are always positive and happy to see us. I definitely recommend the very tasty food and fabulous service. Located in the old town. Meal (not a set meal) for 2 plus bottle of wine cost 45 euros. Definitely worth it. Pic of me with the waitress, she has been there for years, she is super friendly...

Best food I've had in Lanzarote, the set menus are particularly highly recommend. Great value and great service, especially when compared to other restaurants In the old harbour area. The Tom Yang soup was the best I've ever had, and it's clear that staff take a great deal of pride in their food and their service. The cocktails, coffee and alcoholic drinks were all of the highest service one could expect, and the staff very likeable. I couldn't reccomend Varadero highly enough after our experience with the Thai set menu. Portions were very generous but staff were happy to box up food for us...
