Bar Station — Restaurant in Tías

Food mediocre at best. Asked for no black pudding ..... it came with black pudding (which puts my wife off her food, the reason we asked for none!). Asked for a cortardo.... only took 3 reminders!. The clincher though was when we went to pay.

You have to pay at the adjacent bar (Rocas Blanca) No contactless apparently (though after the later problem they showed me other people’s receipts! one of which was contactless!!). Paid by PIN : which apparently ‘failed’ after it’d said the Spanish equivalent of “PIN accepted”. So I asked for a card machine receipt showing “cancelled” : something I’ve always been given, internationally too, if a transaction doesn’t go through. No joy. Suddenly their passable English got worse and the couldn’t understand me.

In the end I asked for their official complaints book (“declamation”?). After a good 10 minutes of “if we pretend we are busy maybe he’ll give up and go away” my wife came over and asked “so, what exactly are we waiting for, before you can provide the complaints book?” : & it...

Food was ok. Supposed street food but same as every other place around the area. Dropped 2 stars because I asked to use the Wi-Fi and was told it was not working." But buddy your sending your orders through to kitchen by tablet. Don't lie" dropped another because the food was only ok and another because the chairs were seriously hard to give it that reclaimed hipster street food look. It's a variation on a street vendor done like an old 50s...

I’m lost for words for whoever wrote a review moaning about this not being ‘real’ street food. There’s nobody cooking up grub off the back of a tuk-tuk but you can see that from the pavement, which the bar is on. Anyway who defined what proper street food is?
