Gran Casino de Lanzarote — Attraction in Tías

It's unfortunate that I have to write this but it has to be said so hopefully they train their security staff better.

My first night at the casino was fantastic. Great staff (on the tables and bar) however on my second visit. My friend and a group of others entered walked passed security with them paying no mind. As soon as he saw me he marched across the floor demanding I show my "documents" mind I'm 35 my friend being a similar ages and the guests I front of him were not asked for 'documents' even though some of looking visibly younger.

It's unfortunate that I have to deduce that his hostility and treatment was due to colour of my skin. Even after he asked staff who recognised Me he then said to me someone like me stole from there the previous night and then without any grounds said I'm no longer welcome In the casino. This is absolutely disgusting behavior and this gentleman seriously needs some education on diversity and equality. Such a shame because this one person ruins the reputation of this place when in fact the majority of the staff were fantastic and showed excellent customer service.

Update - yes I was annoyed that I was the only one asked for ID. My friend was able to walk in buy chips and go to a table all without being asked. So clearly its not policy or it is badly policed. I was the only one. And if it is policy it should be more consistent as I was able to buy chips on an visit a couple days previous with no problem. Perhaps you should should retrain security. The Casino is genuinely nice, great location looks modern inside and out, You will find all the usual slot machines, roulette tables, black Jack tables, Friendly Staff, However if you are a poker player this is not the place for you, I tried to contact them on messenger and phone to see if they have any tournaments or cash games running, got no response, went out there (BTW paid 28€ for Taxi to get there) and found no Tournaments or cash games running , Stayed for 30 minutes and left, Really disappointed. Worst casino I’ve ever been to. On entering there was no staff to be seen, waited about 10 minutes and went to two bars to get eventually served by a rude member of staff. Ordered two rum and cokes, one he made the drinks he told us they only accept cash and that it would be 20 euros. Most expensive drink we’ve had in lanzarote and not strong. Cash machines didn’t work, and when we found one that did work, it tried to charge us 4 euros to use it, machines on roulette weren’t great.
