Restaurante La Dolce Vita — Restaurant in Tías

Came here for dinner and I was disappointed by the reception I received.... I want to clarify that I am not one of those people who give out for the sake of it because I cannot stand that... But it appears that dining solo makes all of the difference as most of the waiting staff appear to be focused on the size of their tip according to how many are seated at one table!

I was forgotten about, my order was wrong but corrected in time thanks to another waiter. A younger waiter who served me, had zero interest in being there and I do understand this role is tiring as I have also been in the industry myself but it's not nice to feel every bit of that. My main meal arrived and only for another staff member grabbed my waiters attention, he had slapped my meal down and ran off to the next table....as understanding as i am ,i do also allow for things like this but only for the food was good, the waiting staff would stop me from returning! I didn't want to leave any tip at all, especially as the waiter only acknowledged me after I had asked for the bill and was awaiting his tip! I had been eating at La Dolce Vita for at least the last 10+ years (I live here), and always loved to go there either for a solo meal, with friends or when my family are visiting. However, they have recently changed management, and at my last (and definitely last!) visit there yesterday, the waiter, who I think is also the owner, treated us like garbage. I commented on the extreme price hike since I last ate there earlier this year (tapas for two were 15€, and are now 22€, a difference of 7 whopping Euros), and I couldn't even finish my sentence, when he came very close to us and gestured with both hands, and loudly said "go, go!!!", ushering us out to leave. The expected response by any (good) waiter would maybe be something like, "I am sorry, but we had to put the prices up" or another explanation or apology, but not literally "kick us out" and being extremely rude.

I cannot believe that as customers, me and my friend were treated like that, and I am certainly telling everybody I know about how they treat their customers there. They have lost a longstanding, regular customer, and I won't ever go...

Summary: Stay away.

Pros: The views. Cons: Food and service. Watch out for this tourist trap. Our company had black tagliatelle with seafood, except there was hardly any seafood in it other than 2 clams and a poor shrimp.

Pizzas were tasteless and mostly overfilled with cheap cheese and very little other toppings.

Sole Menuiere was a piece of dry fish and washing detergent tasting sauce.
