I had the pleasure of having lunch at this charming indian cuisine restaurant in Tarragona that left quite an impression. Nestled in a lovely setting, the restaurant not only boasted an aesthetic decor but also a delectable culinary experience. Opting for the reasonably priced €14.50 menu, I was in for a treat.
The standout dish of the meal was undoubtedly the chicken tikka masala. Its flavors were an exquisite blend of spices and creaminess, truly exemplifying the essence of authentic indian cuisine. Every bite was a delightful journey into a realm of taste.
However, what truly elevated was the lovely service I received. Babú, the manager, ensured that every aspect of my visit was top-notch. His attentive and friendly demeanor made me feel welcome and valued as a guest, even when the restaurant closed, we chatted for a while above restaurants in general and how to get a good one, only achievable focusing on care and dedication to the customer
All in all, my visit was a delight. From the captivating ambiance to the flavorful dishes, especially the memorable chicken tikka masala, it was an experience that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a taste of India...
Read moreA total disappointment ! Food served here is "Indian" only in it's naming. The food totally lacks spice, maybe to fit the spice requirements of local population. Indian food being known for its spicy nature, the food here was an utter disappointment. Coming to flavours, who adds bell peppers in "chana masala". If you think "bell peppers" goes into Indian curries like chana masala, butter chicken etc, get your basics right. The pappadoms are served as such without the usual toppings of sev , onions and veggies , the samosas lack any flavour, the condiments served along are a joke, the lassi is one of the thinnest lassies you probably would have to tried in your entire life.
For anyone who have had or knows how real Indian food tastes, this place is a huge disappointment. The owner seems to be only interested in satisfying the local population and hence has tweaked every single item on the menu, and doesn't care about anyone who walks in hoping for an authentic experience.
Only positive part is the ambience and the waiter was patient with us.
As an Indian I would not recommend this place if you are looking for authentic...
Read moreChai was the best as name of the restaurant. We went with two family together 8 people and they have round table for family for 8 people so it’s very nice .ambience is pretty good and well maintained.
Toilets available and clean. May be good to have baby diaper change option for family with kids.
Food we ordered vegetarian and chicken both was good. Naan was very nice . Rice we need to order separately, quantity could be better. Mango lassi was nice whereas rose lassi glass was very ordinary. Chicken and vegetables gravy and to me it looked lots of color and readymade spice masala used instead of fresh spices .
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They guided us in parking clarification as in Sunday street parking was free and we were lucky to get parking in front of the restaurant.
Last important was they also have mouth fresheners available for the guests at reception. Overall it was good experience. I would recommend this restaurant if you are not very particular about authentic...
