Bar Cafetería La Tahona — Restaurant in Teguise

We received the most and only unwelcome attitude in Lanzarote from a young waiter who we disturbed from watching his phone . Only one table had customers, and we sat down at one of only 3 clean tables. The so-called waiter started to sweep the floor, ignoring the dirty tables, and after a few minutes trying to get his attention, we walked out, I'm sure much to his approval ,so he could sit back down and play with his phone. What was recommended to us was a typical local restaurant. What we experienced was a dirty, grubby, and unfriendly little space that could and should be so much better. Time for new owners or a staff...

I went in to have a drink whilst I waited for my bus but the person at the bar was extremely rude. Didn't say hello back, took his time to serve me and was extremely snappy. Didn't feel welcome at all. I kept on being bubbly and cheerful because it just contrasted so well with his miserable mood. I guess he was having a bad day. The place isn't expensive and the venue is actually quite traditional and pretty. Thus the two stars...
