We spotted the courtyard and thought it looked appealing but it was the worst meal of our 10 night trip.
We headed in attracted by the menu outside. Nobody acknowledged us at all, but there was a friendly delivery driver delivering to the restaurant who seated us and told the waitress!
Took an age to take our order and witnessed the waitress being rude and sharp to other customers. She didn't understand the menu items I.e. didnt know what burrata was....
We witnessed her speaking to another couple very sharp and rudely, when they were being very clear and understandable in a second language, including when talking about allergies. The gent asked about local beer, and she said "I don't know anything about beer". Not great...
The couple next to us didn't get a salad they ordered after waiting an hour. They walked out.
Our turn came for food, which did arrive quickly. The falafel was too salty and small with less than a teaspoon of supposed tandoori sauce. Yuk.
The meatballs were nice and very moist.
Similar to the next table, our salad never came ! But was on the bill, despite us telling the waitress it was missing.
Would avoid on our next trip and wouldn't recommend....
Read moreThe food at Bodega Santa Barbara was amazing. I was actually pleasantly surprised. This place has good options for vegans and vegetarians.
The restaurant has an indoor space and a little courtyard which is cute. The owner Fabio was very welcoming and he gave me some recommendations on what to eat because I was starving that day.
Here is what I ate and recommend. I am sure there are other dishes that are as delicious as I tried but I didn’t get to try them all. :(
Besides the food being delicious, the presentation and colors for food and dishes used makes it more exciting. The other thing that worked for me were the portions. It was perfect for 1 person and I still couldn’t finish the fried Canary potatoes and Fabio was so kind not to charge me for it.
So, I had the and recommend
Duck Foie Grois Con Mermelada which came with a bowl of toasted bread. The caramelized part of the dish made it really outstanding.
Flan Del Huerto Canario Con Anchoas
Whole fried Canarian Pappas with homemade ketchup which was really good
Bruschetta de la Bodega
Lastly, the Italian cappuccino was very good.
It’s definitely...
Read moreWe’re so happy we stumbled upon this Bodega during our time in Lanzarote. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the meatballs with tzatziki and the croquettes as a starter and my partner talked about those croquettes for days afterwards, no other croquettes are good enough anymore. For the main I had the octopus which was delicious and hit that octopus craving out of the park. My partner had a meat dish which he thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed. The service was amazing. Both the man and woman who served us were great: super kind, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The space itself has a cute outdoor area and a really nice indoor area as well. Highly recommend stopping by here if you’re...
