First thing I would like to mention is that I am a 12-year-old small-ish business, woman owner, so I get the struggle of it all. So for me, to write a review, it either has to be incredibly good or unfortunately very disappointing. In this case, itâs the second one.
Before writing this I have also read the reviews from other customers. I saw that mostly the issue was very similar to mine â waiting time and the quality of services and goods. On a Wednesday morning, I was in line for 30 minutes that did not move an inch. At least 3 people in front of me left before having an opportunity to order. The organization of the working process is chaotic (for the lack of a better word), so it would take around 15 minutes just to take an order and another 30 to complete it. Food and drinks are arriving with gaps. Maybe a 3rd person or more disciplined preps would help.
But what surprised me above all these reviews is that there has been a particular one, where the customer wrote a negative review and the owner stalked them on Instagram and started leaving negative comments on their page. This is something absolutely unacceptable and highly unprofessional in any field of work.
If youâre getting hurt about every negative review, you should have thought in advance about opening a place. Your work is the work of service, in a highly opinionated environment, so you should be ready to receive all kinds of feedback and try to take some of it seriously, not just getting by with the tokenism of âback off, Iâm a small local businessâ attitude. Small businesses do care about many things, some of them being: working conditions, quality of the product, sustainability and reducing waste (especially plastic), and clients who at the end of the day create your community and feed you.
The world doesnât need another ânice spotâ with mediocre quality stuff and bad attitude owner.
Hope youâll fix...
Read moreSurprised about all the 5* reviews here. The sandwich was 50% cheese - and not the great type of cheese. They use this largely packaged grated cheese and it made me feel sick after I finished eating. I thought this is a place with soul and sense for quality. Instead it feels touristy and commercial. Sorry for being harsh, the ladies were very nice to us and I donât mind service to be slow. But, I am VERY disappointed with the food. Especially because itâs very much not cheap for the area. I really regret stopping by.
The coffee is okay but not what youâd expect from the pictures and reviews here on Google.
Somethingâs odd about this place IMHO. I donât enjoy giving bad reviews but in this case, for everyone who cares, I want to recommend everyone looking for more local places that really deserve your time and money :)
I read from other reviewers that they were chased down by the owner on their socials. This is shocking behavior if true. Owner, please try finding me if you think itâs worth your time. This is just a Google review from one of your customers, nothing else. Iâm just honest with you and not mean. You have nice staff. You live a life. You can do better than this. Maybe do something nice instead. :) I...
Read moreWe popped in here after a long dog walk, it was just a random stop, because the place looks cute and inviting!
Really friendly folk running the place and served by big smiles.
We had a couple of ice cold local beers served in frozen glasses which slipped down nicely. Then came our Toasties.... OH MY GOD!!! THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!!
Hand on heart the best Toastie I have ever had... amazing crispy sour dough, with Pesto, ripe tomatoes, a little ham and a generous amount of decent quality melted cheese... it was divine!
They had a Pumpkin Cake amongst all the other fantastic choices and again, it was truly 10/10 served with excellent quality coffee in lovely hand made mugs. Perfect!
We'll be back for sure.... and of course, we HIGHLY recommend it!
PS. Ignore the 1 star review they have on here, its utter nonsense. The Toastie was a generous size. I suspect it's just jealous local competition trying to...
