Restaurante Asador Grill El Almendro — Restaurant in Tejeda

Sitting outside looking down at the spectacular valley below is very special. There were plenty of tables as it was a late November day around 1pm. The service was the way I like it, reasonably prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was good, octopus and taters, garlic shrimp and a scrambled egg/veggy combo. Too much food but we ate it all. Enjoyed the glass of wine and beer. The sense here was the chef took pains and pride to make enjoyable food nicely presented and it showed. We thought it was good value for the price; we needn't have ordered the octopus as the other two dishes were enough really for 2 at luncc. Incidentally, while the drive up (we were in Sardina area) is a bit hairraising (not a good idea for someone who is a timid driver) the views are simply breathtaking at every turn (and there were many, some hairpin). Absolutely appalling service!!!

They did warn only for food before entering.

We sat down here while the festival was on here in Tejeda and decided to have drinks and soups, we had good 1 hour and 15 min before we had to catch the bus back.

It took 35 minutes to order a drink we got the drinks 40 minutes after we sat down, since we were short on time we decided to skip the soup the service was extremely slow and we didn't trust we could finish eating in time.

Enter the manager screaming at us "YOU ARE NOT EATING FOOD?! WE NEED TABLE FOR OTHER CUSTOMERS" suffice to say he kicked us out just after just sitting for 42 minutes inside and barely taken sips off our drinks, yes we did not pay he was not in his right mind.

I hope this warning helps people to decide if you have at least 2 hours you might be able to eat one meal when it is busy.

Rude employees and Manager avoid...

Vertical very unhelpful, unfriendly, rude staff. I was told to wait for the table, after few minutes we were told we can not take the table inside, because we were 3 and the free table was for 6. We waited to be guided to a table. Then A girl - Walter show us with a Finger to outside tables. There were 2 free table, one 5-person in the Shadow, almost on the Street, second 2-person in the Sun. We took the "sun" table. Totally dirty, sticky from Old food. We started to clean it with own tissues and own dezinfaction spray. Then other waiter całe to us to tell us we cant take this table, because się has not enough space to get to the last table. We were "guided" with a finger just to go outside and find a table on ourself, we has to clean the table and the we were sent to the "parking" table.
