Cafeteria La Plaza — Restaurant in Teror

Food not applicable. Basically my partner and I were staying in Maspalomas and had booked an excursion to visit the San Mateo and Teror markets on Sunday. This is the third restaurant we tried to eat at during the time we were there - the first place had no English menu (I have allergies), the second place we tried, we were waiting for 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and as we were time limited, left and tried this place. We were in the queue waiting to order for about 10 minutes, all of the tables were full, there were plenty of staff but none of them were acknowledging us or making eye contact. As we had assumed we would still be waiting a while, I saw a table getting ready to leave and went and sat on it as soon as the last person left. A lady and a man who had just walked into the cafe came up to the table and the lady said something to me in Spanish, I told her I didn't understand. A waitress came over and spoke to the lady, and then told me I had to leave because the man and woman had been waiting for the table? I said well we were waiting for it too and they've just walked in. She said no they were here first (when they clearly weren't as my partner was in the queue still with 3 people behind him) and I said ...no they've just walked in? But we didn't want to argue so we just decided to leave and gave up on trying to eat any lunch that day. Awful customer service...

Hemos decidido comer hoy en este sitio y nos resultaba raro encontrar mesa nada mas llegar porque normalmente hay mucha cola, sin embargo mas tarde entendimos por qué ya no hay tanta gente… En primer lugar la camarera que nos atendió estaba super despistada porque le teniamos que repetir un par de veces lo que le pedimos, además hoy por ser “las fiestas” no tenian la carta normal sino muchísimo mas reducida y sin especificar si los platos son 1 ración o si hay medias raciones o no… Nosotros pedimos para compartir unas papas arrugadas las cuales habian 6 o 7 papas, una ración de croquetas (las cuales la camarera especificó que variadas venian de gambas, pollo, pescado y almogrote) y vinieron 6 entre las cuales de almogrote no apareció y la de pescado era atún… Después le preguntamos si había media ración de pescado y cerdo y nos dijo sí y pedimos MEDIA ración de estas (la de pescado una ración en la que habría 8 trocitos de pescado) . A la hora de pagar miramos la cuenta y nos habían cobrado 10,50 por el pescado y 9,50 por el cerdo y preguntamos por qué nos cobraron una si pedimos media. Resulta que las medias raciones no existen y la camarera nos habia dicho que sí, el chico que me estaba entregando la cuenta me dijo: “pero si el precio está en la carta y no pone que haya medias raciones” y yo le dije que por eso mismo le preguntamos a la camarera. Me dice de mala manera que no va a hacer nada porque nos lo comimos (nosotros explicando que lo pequeñas que habían venido las raciones hasta parecían menos de media) ¿Cómo voy a saber que era una ración?. Luego de insistir pido hablar con la jefa y viene la camarera que nos atendió y confirma que nos dijo que sí que dijo que habian medias que era error suyo pero a pesar de eso la jefa nos quería cobrar igual, le dije que si me descontaba las bebidas o una cerveza aunque fuera y ya, pero seguía negada, al final me descontó una BOTELlA de AGUA😐 En conclusión atención nefasta y las cantidades de la comida super reducida aprovenchando las fechas que son porque hasta la camarera nos confirmó que las croquetas por ser el día que era ponian menos cantidad lo normal de una ración son 9 CROQUETAS....

We noticed this place, because we saw many locals there. So, it means it ould not be a bad cafe. First we ordered a cup of coffe for the cheapest price - 0,9euro on Gran Canaria. After we came back for menu del dia for 7,9 euro. The communication with waiter were quite diffucult, but he was helpful. At the end he brought the soup whcih have not been at the menu del dia. Even they changed te beer Tropical for Dorada. We did not pay any extra. It would be better to have it cheaper (comparingto Ukraine where daily menu cost 2-4 euros).
