Gastrobar 21 — Restaurant in Teulada

Decor is lovely, food ok, my problem was I was freezing cold as they sat us outside had to eat my food with my great big puffer jacket on very uncomfortable, waiter asked if I was OK I told him I was freezing he offered me a blanket which he didn't bring and turned a wall fire on, which didn't make any difference. Ate my food fast just to get out of there. When we were leaving I went through the glass doors to the inside of the restaurant to use the toilets and the inside restaurant was really lovely and warm with lots of empty tables, nobody had a coat on . I thought when I told the waiter I was cold we'd be moved to a warmer spot and assumed the empty tables inside were pre booked. Would not go there again, just take note if you go there in winter and your cold asked to be moved inside. Delicious food, a talented chef, eclectic and fun atmosphere and great service. We loved our evening at Gastrobar 21. We are early birds so it wasn’t crowded. We enjoyed tapas of Spanish meatballs in tomato sauce that were perfectly seasoned, dates with blue cheese that were wrapped in salty bacon and melted in our mouths, delightful crispy squid rings and hot patatas bravas. The chicken satay with peanut butter sauce was sweet and savory. The slow cooked boneless leg of lamb was tender and flavored with pink peppercorns. The beef cheek with wine sauce was our favorite. We loved the chocolate lava cake and the peach crumble. At the end of dinner, we were delighted to meet the gifted chef, Christina Filipopolis. A perfect evening....

This is a lovely bar just down the road from our hotel, and we're told about it by friend's, it serves tapas and much more, 6 of us went and did a great sharing meal, the service was again very good, as our friends lived here they were known by all so that made us all locals. The food was great and more than enough for us all, the cost was reasonable and such quick service was great, we went a few days later, just the wife and myself and again it was like we were locals and the young girl that served us was super, keeping track of food drinks and what every had been requested, great service and such a lovely...
