AVOID! This place is dreadful. I’ve been coming to Moraira for over 12 years and have NEVER experienced anything as bad as this place! To start with, the staff here are the most aggressive staff I have EVER experienced, dining out, in my life! They shout at you, slam food down and when you question something on your order, shout you down and try to humiliate you in front of other customers! I have never ever ordered something, to then not be told that they don’t have any left, only for the waiter to choose something in its place and not tell you and serve it to you. Is that normal? As a customer, should you not have the right to choose what you want to eat? We ordered two spirits with mixers, to only be given the mixer. When challenged, we were told the spirits were weak, so couldn’t be tasted. Surely you are served the spirit with the mixer in a bottle, on the side? We were given the wine list, yet never asked our wine order. This was after over an hour of waiting. When we requested to leave and pay for our starters and drinks - we had been ignored by staff for well over an hour and had been served one drink - we were greeted with a staff member throwing a paella down at our table (one which we hadn’t ordered) and he then started making a massive scene. We were shouted and screamed at in front of a full restaurant and left completely humiliated! Our children were mortified and wanted the ground to open up! This was a dining experience that in 44 years, I have never ever experienced! Nor ever wish to! We left in absolute shock and embarrassment! This was a truly horrible experience of Moraira and one I never wish...
Read moreUsually when I review a place it is because it is bad or very good. In this case, I knew it was very good but always forgot to take pictures and pictures says more than 1000 words. So where to start? Only one negative point, what a surprise… Not all was extremely well prepared, staff (especially Victor) was living up to their standards. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. No complaints whatsoever. One remark. We ordered the Menu del Dia (3 courses and a few surprises, positive off course). But the food was coming a bit too fast. We had almost no time to finish one dish and the other one was already there. Anyhow the food was excellent. Highly recommended if the staff is not in a hurry. But will go again, might be a one-time small mistake. What we had, simple, look at the pictures. Tartar de Salmon, Lomo de merluza and the caz de pescado. Desert was brilliant. For desert, we got the flan catalán or creme brulé and cheese cake. And a chupito on the house off course. Overall highly recommended. But again the remark. Please give some time between the different courses. If the food was not that good, rating would...
